Ugh, yes! Agreed. I SO wanted to like it, but it was pretty terrible. Tone-wise, it's the anti-"Looking."

Yes! The whole Augustin plotline is just soooooooo tired and full of cliches. It feels a little too "The L Word" for my taste.
Man! You're probably right. I adored "Enlightened" SO much, and they pulled the goddamn plug way too soon.
Swooooooooon! What a great episode of television. Gorgeous writing, gorgeous cinematography… gorgeous actors. Totally reminded me of "Before Sunrise" in all the best ways. I didn't really miss the rest of the cast all that much in this episode. (Although I do loooooove Dom.) Really LOOKING forward to see where this…
I don't see either one here in Central Texas… maybe they're scared of Whataburger?
But the difference usually is that they get their comeuppance… For example, they didn't get to go to the rave (and didn't mean to let those ladies drink their molly in the first place). They didn't get to have their fish fry.
Yep! I like Adam more than Blake, though. Sometimes I feel like he just says random shit and has big hair.
I love this show, but I think DP is right on about this episode. I liked the previous three episodes and laughed all the way through them, but didn't find much to like about this episode. It was far more mean-spirited than most of the others.
I kind of agree with the reviewer, and after three pretty solid episodes this season, this one came off as the weakest. (The BS lady totally was a plot device… there's no way in any universe she agrees to go to their party.) Also, the part where the gangster girl gets her ass beat while the guys watch with boners…
Sounds like something my boyfriend's bratty-ass high school sister would write on Twitter.
(And especially given the long-distance thing…)
Fuck: Dom/Patrick (together); Marry: Dom; Kill: Augustin, no question!
Not saying you're wrong, but how do you know your roommate was falsely accused? Isn't it always accuser v. accused? Especially without evidence?
Totally fair point. I live in Austin, and a couple who ran a daycare in the '80s who have been in jail for more than 20 years on pretty outrageous, unbelievable charges just got released. (When you read the stories the kids came up with, involving devil worship and all sorts of implausible shit…)

YES! I liked seasons 1, 2 and 4, and even 5 a smidge, but it really was god-awful after that.
I graduated from HS in 2006, and remember watching "Californication" my freshman year of college. I graduated in 2010. And now it's 2014 and this show is still on? I love Duchovny (*major major major* "X-Files" fan here), but I lost my patience for it after season two. How is it still going?
Send them to me?
I had no idea it was still on! I used to watch it for the laffs, but it's just too much for me now.
Can't defend many of this band's counterparts, and I certainly haven't listened to anything past "Clarity," but this is a solid album. No way will I find my CD copy, but I'm about to go Spotify the shit outta "Bleed American."
