Yes. It wasn’t enough to lure and then rape her. They really should have gone a lot further in damaging her credibility. What a stellar specimen of the human race.

This rule could really ruin some young men’s lives.
You know what else inspires murder? Infinite scrolling.
I went to a really great conference once with a session on domestic violence. The most important thing I learned is that domestic abusers don’t actually “lose control” in the sense that we think they do. But they use our belief in their loss of control against their victims.
Thank you, Jessie. Really over the whole “let’s ban knives then, too!!!” comments.
And yet somehow, white man magically knew more about Kung Fu than an Asian female martial artist who OWNS A GORRAMN MARTIAL ARTS STUDIO.
I’m glad someone said it. I haven’t seen the movie, but from what I hear, Matt Damon is just kind of in the way the whole time.
Yes! And also, I’ve never been much impressed with her acting. She seems very...cardboard. Am I missing some key movie wherein she delivers like whoa?
I want to point out that The Great Wall was not whitewashing. It wasn’t even Hollywood. The film was made in China by Chinese. Just look at the cast on IMDB and tell me how this can even be considered whitewashing?
okay, NOW can we stop with the ‘well they needed a big name in the lead who just happened to be white to guarantee success’ excuse?
The biggest crime after the change of ethnicity, is Finns lack of martial arts prowess.
The whole reason these companies look to anime is because of the name recognition, but it’s still so obscure for a general audience that it might as well have been a new IP. And the fans of the source material don’t want a live-action version, so you’re not getting them either. It doesn’t make any sense.
Can Hollywood stop making remakes of anime? People who could possibly be interested in those already watched the original versions so why bother.
Yay!
She also unleashed the hideously unscientific John Grey and his “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” bullshit.
Can you show me the law that says contributory negligence is dependent on the order of events? I realize you can have an intervening act that reduces the defendant’s liability, but that’s not what happened here. And actually, Florida, now that I think of it, is a comparative fault state.
When my oldest son was little, he’d perfected the yank out of my hand and bolt maneuver. Inevitably while I was looking for him, I would hear an overhead page, “Will the parent of Little Kat please come to the courtesy desk.” Never once did a store toss him outside. I can’t even imagine a store doing that to a six…
Yeah, people love to see “corporate America” die but rarely consider that the bigwigs who ran the business into the ground will be fine. As always, it’s the rank and file employees who will suffer.
Thank you very much. The snark is uncalled for, and I can’t imagine why it’s happening. Every article for the past weak is so unnecessarily provocative, followed by such bile it feels like I’m at you tube.
Yup. Grew up in Toughskins (tm)! They weren’t really all that tough, though.
More recently we needed a new dishwasher, and I’d always had it in mind that one thing Sears still did well with was appliances. Wrong. There was one poorly trained, totally unknowledgeable employee in the whole appliance dept. Waited FOREVER…
