I have a couple of 50’ hoses and I’m sick of coiling them up by hand when I’m done using them. Anyone know of a decent hose real (self retracting) that isn’t going to cost more than just going to sears and buying a reel with a hose already on it?

Are they really twins if they were conceived a week apart?

Any idea if this would work on Poison Ivy/Oak? We have a bunch of it showing up this year and haven’t started hitting it with anything yet.

The way I’m seeing it:
1st cut: cuts partially through the onion
2nd cut: turn 90 degrees, make same cut
3rd cut: Stand up to make cuts perpendicular to 1 and 2
4th cut: lay remainder of onion (not cut by 1 & 2) on the chopping block and slice
5th cut: turn 90 degrees and chop slices into “cubes”
done

It’s been a while, so I don’t remember the specifics, but it was largely carelessness. Got my left hand a little in front of my right hand. Watching this video, I’m surprised it didn’t happen to the hands depicted. There were plenty of opportunities for knuckles and fingers almost in the way of the rolling blade.

As someone who’s cut his finger (badly) with a pizza cutter I implore anyone dumb enough to try this stupid method. Please Be Careful! What’s depicted on this video is just dumb and asking for an accident. If you want to cut vegetables “correctly” meaning quickly and safely, just learn how, it’s really not that hard.

Ryobi makes a bit for this and it’s only $7-8.

Would you mind explaining more what “pierce the veil” means?

For me, there’s no evidence of wrong doing on my phone (other than that whole “three felonies a day” thing) especially since, as far as I know, I haven’t committed any crimes. It just a: creeps me out for someone to be looking through my email, photos, etc. and b: is none of their damn business. I don’t like the idea

The ethernet port on my old iMac (circa 2007) bit the dust. Anyone know if the USB hub mentioned here will perform as well or better than wifi?

Great article with lots of interesting info. I was one of those people who always assumed a house was a great investment.

Well, that's what she tells me. :)

I've had terrible luck with rigid triggers. 4 cordless devices so far, all had the trigger fail.

I’m guessing people like Genghis Khan got away with it all the time.

Thanks for the great reply. Sounds like the TL/DR version is the guy in the video is close, but getting lucky (and not getting it all clean). How often should the above be done? Beginning of each year, every other year, etc. Though I assume any answer will start with "it depends".

I'm hoping some a/c repair guys respond to this. Seems sketchy to hit it with a hose, though I know at least the bottom tray is intended for that (catching water).

Don't know what we're going to get yet (assuming we'll "get") but it will all go into a home remodel projects. We're slowly doing nearly a whole home remodel. Doing it ourselves and slowly means we're paying cash for the whole thing.

I'm currently reading a book (Amazon-link) by Marie Kondo that talks about this topic. Her suggestion, when you are going through the process of getting rid of stuff, do it alone. She suggests it for this specific reason.

While I generally agree with you, I'd put the caveat on there "unless you're a person of color" in which case "cash" seems to be fair game from the police's perspective.
