Here's mine in the winter. The snow is hiding (most of) the mess. 900-ish acres of wildlife preserve behind me.

Ditto on the tipping for the original amount thing. Keep this in mind any time you get some kind of break off the total price.

My vote goes to Captain Lou. Tbag77's late entry is also awesome.

#Corrections. wouldn't it have been the "wurst" thing?

My wife works at a lodge with a restaurant. They don't pool tips, she has to do a daily report and tally up what each server earned in tip money, then it gets paid to them as part of their paycheck (assuming the customer didn't just leave cash).

I thought only Sheldon had such a tight laundry schedule.

oh man, pajamas are the WORST. I used to sleep in just underwear but now it's just me (and the wife, and usually a dog, sometimes a cat but the animals are not under the covers).

ok, I don't want to see kids go hungry but two things:

Of course I can see the difference. My point is, your statement needs a "yet" on it "the police are not "yet" reviewing random road footage and arresting…." It would be no difficulty at all to extrapolate from a search for a flagrant/dangerous speeder to an automated approach to speed traps sending everyone

How about if you're doing 5, 10, 15, etc. over. Not being ridiculous like this guy, but "breaking the law". Are we all ok with big brother sending us a ticket for doing 36 in a 35? Both situations are just variations of the same thing, one more excessive than the other.

It's times like these when I realize how lucky I am to work from home. It's 11:30 at night, when I'm reading email or working on a spreadsheet when I wish I had a '9 to 5' job. :)

Now playing

Oh great, you just put the All in the Family theme song in my head. bastard

My wife and I met on eharmony. worked out great for us (3 years and counting).

I haven't tried it, but it looks like the grease would just pour out of the bottom creases, as it seems to do in the video, which leaves you with a cookie sheet cleanup (as with my method, we don't usually bother lining it with foil). Do you line the cookie sheet with a sheet of foil, then build the foil rack?

We're thinking of taking a "one room at a time" approach. We're going to convert an unfinished porch on the end of the house into a walk-in closet and bathroom. Then the only other bathroom gets a remodel (other side of the house). Probably kitchen after that, and so on.

That's nice to hear. No foundation problems and the roof is sound (just put new shingles up). I think some of the wiring is pretty old (the cloth type) but it did get some new electric (and a new service panel) about 10 years ago. Also, it leaks (air) like a sieve so it's pretty expensive to keep cool/warm.

right, and a hammers only purpose is to drive nails (but we know it's not) and so when we hit our thumb with a hammer, it's totally the hammers fault.
