BECAUSE it’s an entertainment blog, getting the entertainers’ names right is kind of important. Also, a typo here and there, whatever, fine. But facts and names? These writers aren’t volunteers, they’re paid professionals and name spelling is basic decency.

So you couldn’t poop privately at school?! That seems... weird?

Totally not worth it. Years later I learned that most shrink is internal anyway, aka most “theft” is either by a store’s own employees or due to an internal inventory error. Never got paid enough as a teen to confront anyone face to face about stealing. People are volatile!

Setting aside my feminism for a moment to celebrate that I am but a year older than Sarah Huckabee but my intact soul has shaved 10 years off my face. I’ll take this W.

Just that “they grew up there” re the Kardashians and Calabasas. And to be clear, I’m only semi-ashamed of my knowledge of the inner workings of trash TV and even then, it’s more of a public performance. Only god can judge me!!!

Right? And yet, it was important to note that for posterity that your initial premise was wrong.

Why do we need to create a nuanced argument that will be lost on someone who claims that spokespeople need to have a deep knowledge and expertise in the product category for which they are a spokesperson. That notion is absurd. I’m responding to a person with a poorly informed (and poorly formed) opinion and instead

If you spend some time working retail in a place that has easily shoplift-able things, you start to recognize behavior patterns of folks who are about to shoplift. The thing is, places like Sephora have “shrink” aka theft built into their budgets already, so why an employee would give a shit about shoplifters, I don’t

I hate myself for what I’m about to type, god help me.

But... wouldn’t the presence of the Kardashians actually be a lagging indicator of *more* Black people in town?

You sound like a child. And a child that’s moving the goalposts at that. If you’re against pharmaceutical advertising, I’m right there with you. I don’t think it should be allowed at all, not just as commercials and advertorials, but there should be no incentives for doctors to prescribe something, and sales reps

What the FUUUUUUUUCK are you talking about? The person pictured here is an avid user of Botox and talks about it constantly.

Hi Meghan! Your father was a war criminal and a terrible person who actively hurt millions of people. He deserves zero veneration.

I don’t get the use of this image to illustrate this issue -- the word #ad is the first word, not to mention all the appropriate warning language. And, she regularly mentions getting Botox on her show, so... Your issue is with celebrity spokespeople? Or advertising in general? Or... I get that this generates clicks

IT’S A GOOD VALUE!!!

Is a bit from Death Becomes Her an appropriate response to every Jez post? I think you should try. That movie is a GIFT!!!

I mean, you sound like a bitter, ostracized outcast who now just takes out the consequences of their low self-esteem on others so you tell me. Were you different in high school?

Thank you for taking the time to explain this to me. It’s not often that I find myself saying “I’m too old for this shit” but holy fuck, I’m too old for this shit.

Wh... what?

But, lots of people get accepted into good schools, including dipshits you don’t like. And kids need to know that it’s ok. This is a really good lesson for today’s youth in general — understanding that the school you go to doesn’t define you as a human and ALSO that other people being successful doesn’t diminish your
