As a person who wears no jewelry at all except for a watch sometimes, I had no interest in a ring but my boyfriend wanted to get me something. Tiffany had a line designed by Frank Gehry at the time and I told him that’s the only thing I’d wear. He says something like “you’re going to hate this in person but if this is

So basically like prison but with catering? Just give me a pull-up bar and a bench press.

I mean, I assume the house has windows, right?

That’s why I said “not necessarily” and not a different word? I don’t know, man, I’m starting to wonder how any Jez readers can pass judgment on dummy rich kids when their reading comp skills are... not amaze.

They could also ostensibly do that if the kids aren’t qualified. Worked for Jared Kushner!

1000% agreed. My beef is mainly with the assumption that only the outright criminal cheating/fraud is wrong when it’s a whole system that perpetuates the circle of wealth. If your parents have access to money and time, they can pay to have you tutored, coached, etc so yes, you are “earning” your grades, but with a

Parents buy their kids’ way into a specific school to guarantee they’ll get into THAT school because having grades/SATs is not, in and of itself, a guarantee. They’re not all unqualified/stupid, they’re just not more special than any of the other kids that apply to Yale, Harvard, etc.

Lowkey this song is GOOD.

It’s not a stupid point of contention. It highlights the fact that money and influence is used across the board, not just in the egregious cases that people get really pissy about. For every Jared Kushner who is a verifiable idiot, there’s someone who is technically fine but unremarkable who has had an easy life

Does anyone read before popping off? I said “don’t necessarily”, not “none of”. Also, the help with writing essays/applying/crafting the perfect application is a whole fucking cottage industry that the wealthy have been using forever to get an edge for kids who already have perfect grades and SAT scores.

“don’t necessarily”.

That’s not a counterpoint.

Point of contention: parents don’t necessarily pay to get unqualified kids in. They pay to guarantee admission for their child who is technically qualified but is in no way guaranteed admission. Ivy League schools and similar universities rejects thousands of extremely qualified kids every year. They paid to remove

All chaps are assless. Who would wear chaps with an ass? Those are called pants. Full chaps are designed to protect your legs from chafing.

She could always listen to her own originals. She was Tiffany/Britney in Canada in the early 90s.

Yeah, we know. We’re trying to get you to take your whataboutism and go away

I mean, have you considered hitting the gym and eating less?

If you’re invested enough in getting brand name makeup, these mystery bags coupled with a good local swap could end up pretty lucrative. You get a weird shade that’s not for you, bring to a swap meet and find something you like, or just sell it.

Ok, Chad.

Oh god oh god, the “Irish people were slaves too” retort. BRB, gonna check this one off my bingo card.
