Ehhhh... it hates you all the way into the 95% percentile of household incomes. If I had to pay what Boston people pay in childcare for two young children, it would easily take out a quarter of my take-home pay and that’s before they ate a single Cheerio and I’m not poor by any standards, including Boston.

Ideally, that’s what it is, where a job is just the thing that makes the rest of your life more accessible, or gives your dogs that premium dog food, whatever. I like my work but it’s what enabled everything else I do, it’s not who I am.

As much as I support her platform and messaging, the idea that Trump’s election is the thing that got you interested in making social change reminds me of those women holding the “if Hillary were president, we’d be at brunch right now” signs. On the other hand, she’s only been of-age for a few election cycles, so.

She’s doing what any good lawyer would tell her to do - countersue. The doctor is only suing her because she’s wealthy. He wouldn’t sue someone judgment-proof, aka some random mortal with $1000 in savings. And she’s doing it because attorney’s fees are expensive and defending this lawsuit will cost her money.

It’s eye-popping, even by 2019 WTF standards of life.

Just wanted to thank you for nudging me to start listening to the podcast. HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT.

Definitely have the podcast and the upcoming show on my list.

For women in business, it’s often necessary because otherwise our words don’t get taken seriously. My natural speaking voice is what one would describe as “girly” and youthful, and I have to switch to serious-person-bass when I’m in court.

Oh I’m pretty sure meth is in your children’s’ future. You sure sound like your life is so amazing.

I would venture a guess that you don’t know jack shit about “Native American issues” or how they intersect with your miserable, colonizer life.

You’re a delusional liar and I feel very, VERY sorry for you. This is the last thing I’m going to say to you, because you make me want to vomit into my dinner. There’s a Chris Rock bit in Bigger & Blacker (maybe, maybe one of the other ones) where he talks to the white people in the audience and says something to the

You’re conflating six things (hate crimes vs racism vs... who knows) and you don’t actually care to understand. You seem so eager to enter the victimhood olympics so by all means, please stop pretending you care to understand anything at all, and leave me alone.

Ok. Tell me about a time where racism against white people affected your life in a real, material way that you could not escape. Those Covington sociopaths-in-training weren’t vilified for being white, they were vilified for being instigating assholes “protesting” something they’ll never experience in their lives.

There are roughly as many NRA members as there are self-identified indigenous Americans living in the US. I figure if NRA enthusiasts can make owning a gun a personality trait, indigenous Americans can do whatever the fuck they want.

If you got accused of doing something heinous to your best friend’s sister and it wasn’t true, wouldn’t you be screaming from the rooftops of Instagram stories that nothing happened? The silence is sus.

You could just say you’re wrong and move on instead of doubling down on being an idiot.

Fairfax is the alleged rapist and not-alleged Lieutenant Governor, not the governor.

To be clear, I’m not personally ok with it, and I want him to resign but I also wouldn’t be affected by Republican policies. In this case, I would defer to what black Virginians prefer. He’s our guy, it’s definitely not ok, but this if this is who black Virginians want to keep as governor, who am I to say anything?
