So I’m guessing that his “punch foes, get shields” was supposed to make it so he didn’t need an escape, or rather, had to keep fighting up close to stay alive (he sounds like a Mass Effect Vanguard, to me). I haven’t played him, but I’m guessing that’s not working out in practice?

Anxiety isn’t logical.

Sounds like mindfulness, to a degree. Something I know I need to work on.

Why doesn’t Nintendo sell their own cards? What if Nintendo sold Amiibos AND Amiibos code-cards for older figures? That would be a low-cost way for them to please people more interested in the in-game content, and provide an additional collectible revenue source for them. Ordinarily it would be a no-go because it

Question about submitting videos: If I’ve uploaded a video to Facebook, are you able to use it for Highlight Reel? Or do I need to get it up on youtube?

You can only plead innocent and ignorance if you’re unaware of something. Once they became aware of it, they made the call to not pursue that association. This seems to be the whole system working as intended, Lipschultz is taking a stand for the side of poor localization and shouldn’t be missed on future titles.

I can’t believe you mentioned Blues Brothers 2000, a game I definitely rented but thought I hallucinated.

It’s either much better after the patch, or I got to a more polished part of the game after the patch. I am having to keep track of myself in order to not burn out on pointless busywork sidequests, otherwise I know I won’t finish it.

I have *no* idea what is happening in any of the Battlegrounds clips. :/

Man I *thought* PVE would give me a way to enjoy this game again, but Junkenstein burned me out after about 2 nights. I don’t understand why I have such a miserable time in this game when so many other people love it.

But this is a new game. “Holding up” to the past is not a high-enough standard for a brand new creation. Compare this to Shovel Knight, which managed to nail the feel of the games that inspired it while excising the stuff that wouldn’t work anymore, and introducing new mechanics that elevate the whole experience.

I’m in the small camp that played Banjo Kazooie when it was newish and never found it appealing. I played it after playing and never finishing DK64, and it felt like all the stuff I hated from DK64 without any of the good parts.

It was challenging, but I never hit a wall, so to speak. The hardest bosses only took maybe 20-30 minutes to beat, and I saw definite improvement before each death, which kept me going.

In my experience, HLD is very hard but you see improvement every time you try it. It rewards practice, unlike a lot of games that reward stubbornness or luck.

I was beginning to worry that I was aging out of hard video games, or that my life had gotten so stressful that I wouldn’t be able to enjoy challenging games anymore. Then I played HLD and remembered that there are games that are hard in the right way, that have a learning-curve instead of just a solid wall of

I don’t understand why Vilia didn’t just...shave. If Vilia’s a trans woman and is trying to pass that is. If Vilia the Woman is just a ruse for Vilia the Man to creep on into Gerudo town, then it’s some Bathroom Bill bullshit

If someone’s ideals condemn your entire identity, you’re not beholden to not condemn them.

This makes Witcher 3 sound like...a bad game. If you can mess up that horrifically while thinking you’re doing well, it’s not a real choice, it’s arbitrary.

This interview raised my blood pressure.

just pretend it’s Rogue One
