@MazdaMania: That's really a matter of opinion. There are people that would argue that a BMW is no better than a Ford, you're just paying the Beamer Tax. I'm a guy that drives the American car, but I have had the opportunity to drive a few BMWs. Just because the starting point and destination are the same doesn't make

@Vidikron: "they've already passed iOS in the smartphone market."

@Vidikron: Without hacking? That's all Android is - a series of hacks. Look how many interpretations of Android are already out there. That's why the apps don't work across the board on all Android devices.

@Clint Coady: It's like asking for butter, but getting "butter topping". I suppose if you are okay with it, that's your choice. It's cheaper and doesn't taste as good, but it's still your choice. :)

@aec007: You can get full blown OS with a laptop or a Toshiba ___ Tablet. Tablets have been around for years. They don't sell.

@JaiMak: So... Out of curiosity, what are you planning on using it for? I assume the same stuff as the iPad - reading, browsing the internet, watching movies, etc. My concern would be what the experience will be like compared to the iPad. They aren't going to be able come out swinging with the 'we multitask and Apple

It seems to me these tablets will be just muddy the waters when it comes time for consumers to decide.

The same could be said about people that know how to defrag their hard drive vs. people that don't. It's just an old school cool vs. nerds. Nothing to see here people except for the obvious. :(

Ha Ha! How is Apple "too late"? So by saying this, is Microsoft also too late? It would be ridiculous to think every company is not trying to be forward thinking. To assume Apple, Google, or Microsoft are going to continue on "as is" would be ridiculous.

As the website states, it's all about processing efficiency while maintaining strength. I'm sure they would save a ton of money if they could produce their iPhone, iPod, and Mac shells/encasement with the simplicity of injection molding.

@madisondj: Perhaps your Droid works for you the same way the iPhone 4 works for others. When Steve said "Don't hold it that way", I think it was said because he didn't believe this was actually a problem. It's like a guy going to the doctors office and says, "Hey Doc, my arm hurts when I bend it like this." and the

@benihime: Well... I think Apple did address the issue. It was the other companies (and YouTubers) taking stabs at Apple before they had a chance to thoroughly test the phone and find out how widespread the problem was.

I just hope Baby Bjorn comes out with a carrier for this thing before I get mine. It will be embarrassing if I have to walk around in public holding it in my hands.

@myfriendtheZebra: As an educator, I see these "tech con artists" selling this crap to educators all the time. They convinced our school to get these Active Slates...

Jeff Albertson would probably say it best, but "Worst game ever."

You could just go to the website. I'm not sure why they need to make an app out of it. HOWEVER, if we're going to do this one, I would love to get an Awkward Family Photos App...

@Mark 2000: I love the idea and wish it worked for me. It hasn't quite solved all of the problems. If you put this in the cabinet (hidden from the rest of the world) you won't be able to turn on the TV (the projector in my case) with the iPhone. I would need to pull out the projector remote.

I'm 6'8" (2.03 meters) tall so I just push. How am I supposed to see under all the heads and shoulders in the way?

I'm feeling pretty stupid for typing in all of my bank account numbers and my entire family's social security numbers. Lesson learned! Thanks, Gizmodo!

A couple of downsides I see. If you decided you wanted to add this to your iPhone (minus contract), you would be stuck without camera use. The other issue I see is when the next generation iPod is released, people are anticipating a camera. Once again... no hole... no camera. Why not just buy a Sprint Overdrive? You
