@iTofu 3GS has no reception problems: Yeah... but how are they going to add the actual phone app? I suppose they could use it for Skype, but if you are paying for the EV-DO, wouldn't you just want a regular phone?

@Jose Perez: That would dramatically improve things. Unfotunately I already dropped while it was peaking out over the edge. My iPad looks like a hamster has been using the corner as a chew toy.

@conception: Ha! Thanks. I'm not sure that really does the same thing as what I'm looking for. Photoshop would need to include some touch controls.

I have it and I hate it. If you are constantly using it in landscape, it is constantly slipping out of the case (notice the 3rd and 4th pictures down). The speakers get blocked. Plugging it in at night is a pain because it's all misaligned.

@hvrock13: actually, it would be ideal if your office desk is anything like mine. I have to take the smallest mouse movements because there is so little free space. This would definitely fix the problem. Heck... I might even mount it on the arm of my office chair. :)

@conception: I was thinking more along the lines of pulling up the actual screen that I'm working with onto the iPad screen.

@electronymous: Why wouldn't Apple just make an app that turns your iPhone or iPad into a touch pad for your Mac?

It will be perfect for the Mac mini in my car. No more fooling around with a clumsy mouse while driving and texting.

@trexchard: I agree. There is absolutely no reason why I shouldn't be able to remove those Apps. I never use the Stocks App or voice recorder. Plus, there are a lot more options available on the store.

That was a pretty slick move on their part. Wish I had thought of that.

I'm hoping for the return of Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken for iOS. I love the new versions of Monkey Island.

I have a question for Elgato users. How are you able to record shows from cable when companies like Comcast require you use their DVR? Am I missing something?
