A little less than 20 years ago, a still-finding-its-legs South Park aired a memorable episode called “Gnomes,” which focused both on the omnipresence of Starbucks Coffee (named Harbucks in the episode), as well as little gnomes that steal your underpants in the night, with their ultimate goal being “profit.” That

“We gotta hide this game that might connect us to a murder. Also fuck our dreams I guess because...because”

“It’s not wrong, but Janet is nonetheless cast in Neil’s shadow (she listens to radio transmissions of her husband’s trip to space at home) and she is afforded no domestic equivalent to Neil’s moon walk.”

I’d imagine they probably don’t care much, they’re making movies not posts on the internet.

With the predjudice against green skin still sadly prevalent in our society, even if they do speak up nobody will take these poor women seriously.

Wow all the whiny little bitches and haters all in one place. How convenient. 5 Super Bowl Titles and GOAT. Enough Said. deal with it you whining excuse making little girl wannabes. YOUR team sucks. New England is a proven Dynasty and best NFL has ever seen. Your Patriot and Brady envy is rotting what little brains you

it’s a career that the market dictates. If people want to see Louis CK do stand-up, then go do it. That quote is saying Louis CK should be allowed to at least attempt that. It’s not about entitlement - it’s more about people trying to demand that he not even be allowed to attempt it. If no one wants to see him, he’ll

Put me down as the one person who needs a remake, then. For all its great visuals and occasional good ideas, the original just isn't a good movie — not even by the standards of Italian cinema at the time. A remake could do so much more with those themes, and it's got a much more talented director at the helm. Also,

Ugh no thanks. The first one was bad enough

Pray that’s all that he does with it!

Noe is not transgressive for the sake of transgression. There is a point, but it requires (perhaps too much) courage to get to it.

ok so don’t watch the movie

LOL like I said, there’s no ‘white tribe’. I’m not trying to say I’m the good kind of white, or the bad kind. I’m saying that it’s just as dumb to try to point out that you’re not ‘that kind of white’, as it is to feel guilty about the actions of the white people who voted for Trump.

I laughed three times in the opening paragraph. White guilt used to be my favorite guilt. Misplaced white guilt is even better though.

Good point, he should probably just be executed.

Maybe there’s a lesson to be learned in not making too many assumptions about a project based on a trailer. I know I’ve seen movies for which the trailer was very misleading, for good or ill. Sometimes it’s intentional, to allow for a greater impact when the actual project airs.

Yeah, I’m thinking that saying this movie is about the Manson murders is kinda like saying Amelie is about the death of Princess Di.  I think Di’s death in that movie and its relation to the plot is gonna be about the same as the Manson stuff in this one.  Could be wrong.

**jaw hangs open in astonishment**

Am I the only person who struggles with cultural appropriation uproar? I thought different cultures mixing and borrowing from each other was the point of living in a diverse society. Is it reasonable to assume that people of different cultures living together would wall off the ability of their culture being used by

The success of Twenty-One Pilots is indeed very depressing.
