"Impulse" can't be used as a verb… Did you mean "impel?"

@Kogo: I disagree strongly with you re: shorts. (Keep in mind, I'm 23, so my experience is likely biased by my young age — you may think that shorts are only not okay for 30-somethings and up, I don't know).

Another site that will buy used textbooks is textbooksrus.com. I've used them twice and it's been totally painless and worth my while.

@Eugenia: I disagree. With a hardware shutter button, you can rest your finger on it and slowly depress it when you want to take a picture. A software button requires you to hover your finger (which destabilizes the grip) and then tap the screen (which again destabilizes).

@sean000: I also agree here. Although I love the way photos look coming out of my Nikon 50mm f/1.8, the focal length is just plain inconvenient. I'll be getting a 35mm f/1.8 shortly, and I expect it to get far more use.

And here I am wondering how they lit that photo...

Just looking for something to entertain myself while installing iOs 4 on my 3gs, and I run across this. Bad news about the slowdowns, but good news about the downgrade potential. Thanks LH!

Want to see one? Try the largest collection of microcars in the world: [microcarmuseum.com] (I almost dated his daughter back in high school :-D).

For what it's worth, in Mail.app you can search using the patterns from:dondiego87@lifehacker.com and to:dondiego87@lifehacker.com.

How ironic… In a story about keeping your ringtone unique, I see that the author has selected the same ringtone as me!

@jktechwriter: Not to mention the fact that I can't even get the site to load correctly. The link given, and even starting afresh from a Google search, only allows me to see the first and last slides. The formatting of both pages is completely FUBAR and the comments are full of spam.

@neonsocks: Yes. Saw this on the Food Network and although I haven't tried it (living in a dorm) I'm sure it's ideal. Only heat/clean one skillet, and just toss the foil when you're done! (Did we just hack the hack?)

Every single day, unfortunately. The worst part is that I get more and more tired every time, but I still do it.

Program looks very intriguing, I'll have to try it out once I actually get an iPhone. But for now, fhe page for converting phone numbers into SMS email addresses needs an update... Cingular is now AT&T, and I'm sure some of the other ones have changed since 2005.

Works well for me! Excellent find.

I'm a student majoring in environmental science, but I have to say that my first reaction upon reading this story wasn't, "Oh, that'll be better for the environment!" (Although it will be.) It was actually, "Yes, now I'll be able to use someone else's charger when I forget mine!" It's really the convenience of

Look at lots of photos! For me, browsing the forums at [fredmiranda.com] has been immensely helpful. Even though I haven't actually posted any images of my own (yet!), it's been good for me to look at the critiques on others' work. It's helped me figure out what I like and what I don't like in a photo, as well as what
