MADDEN SUCCUMBS TO MADDEN CURSE
Holy fuck, Arkham City is 10 years old!?!? (Yes.)
As another poster suggested, maybe 2-3 years is the sweet spot. For instance, I just started/finished Fallen Order (on PS5), and then went to read reviews; many of those reviews from 2 years ago mentioned technical issues that I either didn’t have at all, because of patches, or possibly just didn’t notice.
You’ve ruined my day by sharing the knowledge that this exists.
[As a non-Sheldon-watcher:] I suspect that a lot of the contempt is not even for the show as it is, but because it represents an attempt to spin off a breakout character from a huge hit that, itself, ended some time after it had run out of whatever gas it was running on. So it’s largely BBT backlash.
The Equalizer is the show that Chris Noth just got fired from, so there’s some good AVclub-esque content right there.
“I’d wear a mask, but my nagging cough makes that especially uncomfortable, so....”
Fair response.
1. Jack was hilariously low-key about everything; usually when someone is that blase about being framed it’s because the whole thing is a ruse, but no, he just figured he’d get it all straightened out quickly. And he did!
His first name is “Baron” and I’m sticking with that.
Maybe wait until his strongly-rumored COVID is over before jinxing him with talk about three years from now?
He’s got a new special, streamable on his own web site, so the joke’s on...us?
I find the trophy percentage data on Playstation interesting. Like, only 78% of people who started Fallen Order made it to the end of the intro level.
The whole thing reminds me of an interesting episode of Nip/Tuck, many years ago. A man (JK Simmons, in particular) gets breast implants for some reason...some kind of press stunt? I forget. Anyway, the breast prosthetics used in the episode look absolutely real (“and they’re spectacular”, and I’m not kidding), and…
With all respect to GC: bullshit. You’ll notice that the rewrite changes “near” to “nearly”, because they are different words that work differently. It was a miss. What kind of miss? A near one.
True fact: I handled this by being unable to count to 6 during the movie, and kept thinking “It’s the Sinister Six! They really did it!”
Thanks! I knew I’d seen the bartender somewhere but couldn’t place it.
Bring back Spoiler Space, NOW.
Keaton’s Vulture is so alive that I’m pretty sure he’s in a couple of frames of the Morbius trailer they ran before my showing, but fuck if I know what reality any of that is in.
Oh, I see the problem. That was Mike Murdoch, that’s why he looked weird.
