I just don’t get Witcher 3. I tried hard to get into it, but it just seemed so dull.

I’m currently playing through The Witcher 3 and for the most part it’s great. Fantastically well realized world and involved-engaging side missions.

PoE ran just fine, for the most part. I don’t see why Unity should be a problem here.

Yep, another one, which is good, because there is not too many to choose from these days. Maybe give Pillars of Eternity a try? It’s really good. But if they’re not your thing, fair enough.

This just reminds me that I need to play Pillars of Eternity still, and the pile of shame that has kept me from diving in. I’m hoping for a nice Steam sale that includes all of White March by the time I’m ready for a new RPG.

While I’ll be the first to complain about how RNG heavy the game has gotten, I won’t sit there and act like there isn’t a competitive side to it. That’s why so few people get in the 10% and lower on the ladder each month. You don’t go on a 16 game win streak and hit legend just because of RNG.

Kid just won 25000 for his skill in hearthstone...prodigy may be a bit strong but it’s certainly an accomplishment.

Disclaimer: SKORCHING TAKE AHEAD

This wasone of my very first PC games. The scope was enormous!

Alternately, you could assume that since this article is specifically about harassment that you have nothing to do with, it isn’t about you...?

What Nintendo is doing is not censorship. It’s content curation that they’re entitled to do on THEIR product. They’re not curtailing anyone’s speech.

Reminder: It’s not censorship if it’s not the government doing it.

This may be the worst Kinja ever.

Graphics as a means of influencing the story is also kind of malarkey. I wrote an article a while back about how devs keep looking at characterization the wrong way, focusing way too much on graphics instead of characterization. So you get incredible looking characters, usually none of which are remotely likable or

I'm not saying there weren't ill-conceived games, and don't mistake this for a rose-colored view of the past. Of the best games in that generation, there was a dedicated focus on mechanics as a means of 'play', rather than focusing their time on the aesthetics and framerates. The original Halo also employed this level

There is creativity in constraints. Early games from the late 80s and 90s were allowed to focus on innovative game mechanics because while the graphics were impressive for the time, they did not take nearly as much time to develop as current graphics. The amount of time spent on graphics supersedes gameplay mechanics,

I still say that this game still continues to stand tall against modern RTS games like SC2 and Planetary Annihilation.

It's interactive; it has objectives; thus it's a game.

I agree. To me, it's an actual example of a "mature" game. Not because you're killing hundreds of enemies in an increasingly brutal fashion, but because it deals with mature themes.

And that was just fine with me. Learning about this family and their motivations piece by piece was a surprisingly enjoyable experience for me. I hadn't played anything like it before and genuinely felt attached to them by the time I got to the end. The fact this took place without physically meeting anyone else in
