Yeah, I don’t think they wanted Rexxar/Misha to be as finely tuned as the Vikings. I think if you could control each one completely autonomously they might be too strong. Imagine if they could soak two lanes. Or if you could micro Misha to chase down a fleeing hero while Rexxar stood back and kept wailing on the line.

Rexxar is a solid off-tank, second warrior. You’ll never want to use him as a main tank. But he has great jungling ability, good CC, and can put up some decent damage numbers. Put him along side a Johanna or Leoric and there could be some interesting comps with him.

I don’t know why, maybe it’s just pure nostalgia, but there is something about mid-late 90s PC games that I adore. I love the look and feel. You can tell people were really experimenting with what they could get out of the raw power. There were all kinds of wonky FMV games and cutscenes. Everything is so canned now.

Do they have to be old? So many good new ones. Divinity: OS, Transistor, Shadowrun, Pillars of Eternity. Does Bravely Default count?

I wouldn’t take it too hard. The MM system is seriously messed up. I don’t think I’m anything special. I was as high as rank 19 before the reset and I also got placed at 40. I’ve been climbing back up pretty easily and you’ll probably do the same.

90% of those clicks/keystrokes are pointless. APM is the stupid metric around. Don’t get me wrong, his dexterity is impressive, but no more so than someone playing guitar or piano.

Plenty of good F2p games out there. Its not 2009. F2P doesn’t automatically equate to trash.

The word at his alma matter is that he didn’t lose the weight by eating Subway every day, but by walking a couple miles to/from a Subway on a nearly daily basis. Why? Because he was obsesse/stalking a girl that worked there. And I bet she was 15.

Yeah let me know how that AR Bushmaster and your fantasies work out against a drone strike or an Abrams.

Yes and no. If you want to be in a long-term relationship with someone, emotionally, socially etc, it’s also assumed that you will be monogamous.

It’s almost like Microsoft owns Rare.

Personally I think it speaks to not so great design when the best way to beat a boss is to climb up a ladder and drop lick it over and over.

Yeah, but in the end it evens out. RNG favors you sometimes, othertimes it favors the opponent. At the end of the day it creates both exciting and frustrating moments.

A lot of these cards aren’t really going to have much impact, or see much play. Sure maybe every now and then you get a Coldarra Drake/inspire combo. But you aren’t going to have much mana left anyway. Justicar Truehart has terrible stats and might just be too plain slow to play. Mistcaller has terrible stats, and you

It’s not a single card. That “coin flip” mechanic is on several cards, and it’s a very deliberate (and IMO much needed) design decision to slow down the meta. It’s a mechanic that gives late-game control decks an advantage over fast and/or combo decks. And right now that’s sorely needed.

Can someone tell me how this game compares to similar first person explorers? I’ve played Gone Home, Ethan Carter, Dear Esther and many others. I enjoy them, but at the same time I think they are getting kind of same-y?

Because she’s getting shit for her gender. Something completely outside of her control and something that shouldn’t even matter. How often do you see esports players getting harassed for having dicks?

Chess is a game, not a sport.

Depends on what you call QTEs, Older games had sequences of keys you would have to memorize and hit. Yu Suzuki literally coined the term QTE. And in the sense of a QTE being an interactive cutscene as a different form of gameplay, Shenmue was certainly the first game to popularize that.

Werewolfgold sums it up nicely. It was also the first game to introduce QTEs, which are loathed now, but at the time an interactive cutscene or sorts was amazing and game changing. Shenmue laid the foundation for so many things that are ubiquitous in games today.
