So...I watched the movie (recently) - after ALL the foofaraw and hatred and vitriol - and I didn’t hate it.

Why.

Well.

It’s one of De Niro’s most exaggerated performances, but the bigness of the work doesn’t detract from its impact.”

Yes, the guy/video was inflammatory. Yes, it was more emotion-based than fact-based. And, yes, it all might have been for click-baity reasons.

Seriously.

...wasn’t this showcased a few months ago...with a completely different title...and a completely different premise (that, FWIW, still appears to be in there, somewhere)?

Ridley Scott Says He ‘Should Have’ Directed Blade Runner 2049"

Yeah, honestly, same.

Qualification: I love me some Pumpkins, but this movie is NOT the correct location for such.

Jumping onboard this “Legion” train - it was amazing.

Approximately half of the shows listed BELOW “Secret Invasion” deserve to be *above* it. The remaining half (below “Invasion”) I plum haven’t seen.

(Despite Olivia Colman having a fucking blast AND low-key dropping an Eddie Izzard reference...the show was an unparalleled *mess*.)

WHAT.

The actual.

FUCK.

/raises hand timorously

(I have only loosely been following the production of DP3 the past few years, but...) hasn’t this goddamned movie been in production for fucking YEARS, at this point?

What the fuck are they still doing? Are they making a 12-hour epic or something?

I mean, I’m not one of those pedant, “IT WASN’T FRAME FOR FRAME THE SAME AS THE COMIC IT WAS BASED ON, SO IT’S SHIT”, but...there IS something to be said for having a perfectly good storyboard from which to spin a show/movie and ignoring the bulk of it to produce a far inferior product.

(Qualification: I’ve been saying

I am 100% down, ladies and gentlemen.

The show is NOT great, the show is, at this point...just boring.

You are doing the lord’s work. :D

If they haven’t licensed “The Only Way Is Up” by Yazz, at some point in the game, it oughtta goddamned be illegal. :)

(As a CIS-het guy) I’ve been listening to these guys since I first got turned onto them via their “Indigo Girls” 1989 LP (sometime in summer 1990) and listened to it straight through a half-dozen times that weekend.
