Lol - if you want a real-world picture of the downsides, I’ll just say that I’m on first-name terms with the staff at my usual petrol station…

I got a 955 Turbo S - put 20k on it since with zero maintenance issues so far apart from a burned-out light bulb (touch wood). It drinks like a drunken sailor with a drinking problem who’s really thirsty and also isn’t paying for his own drinks, and likes to wash its drink down with the occasional drop of oil too, but

A friend tells a similar story, except he was driving an old Land Rover Discovery, and the guy who ended up with a radiator full of trailer hitch was driving a Jaaaaaag. Great satisfaction was had by all, except for Jag-man.

What? Is this a thing in the US? In other countries (ZA and IRL for sure) this same signal is a “thank you for letting me past”… Could cause some interesting moments of cross-cultural misunderstanding!

Wave on your way through Piacenza - I’ll be the guy encouraging you to PUNCH IT!

Alfa Romeo Arna.

Same thing happened to me when I wanted to buy a Z4 M Coupe. BMW dealer wouldn't give me the time of day because he thought I couldn't buy it. At the time (stock options from a successful IPO) I could have, but now with kids I need the 3-series Touring.

@Roberto G.: The part that sucks is a lot of underground car parks, ferries, etc won't let LPG vehicles inside. Also the lack of power I hilarious: my wife's cousin's Fiat Multipla has to switch tanks to go up hills...

@Baseballbikeski: I'm a European living in Europe, and bike lanes are something of a sore subject for me too - because people don't use them.

@crazyrussian540: Amazingly, the original of that model (the Mulsanne) works for me too, with my 1980 birth date.

@fodder650: More to the point, I really want to see long-nose trucks mixing it with the cab-overs on the race track!

@wkiernan: I'm too young to have seen Elans on the street when they were new, but plenty of people are still running them! In fact I was disappointed when I clicked through to post my guess and saw that the answer was right there...

@Brian: So true. It works at all points of the scale, though. The first car I bought was a ten-year-old Saab 9000 Turbo, and I had a lot of fun blowing away "tuned" Civics who weren't expecting the BoostHammer.

@Baby beater Benz: I'm in Italy, where many of the autostrade require snow chains to be on board between November and March. You can be fined $LOTS, but it's pretty much only the Val d'Aosta (top left, bordering with France at the Mont Blanc / Monte Bianco) that really turns it into a money-spinner. I have a customer
