  • And...Tilda Swinton might be in Doctor Strange! [Just Jared]

brb never sleeping ever again

I was expecting to be unimpressed but that was quite charming! She looks great in a suit. Also, isn't it funny how much she still looks like her kid self in the costumes?

I’ll allow Vanessa Bayer to portray me in this video.

See, Totie doesn’t give a shit what David Sedaris makes up or is true. He’s a splendid writer and speaker whom Totie has seen on tour. So, yeah. Totie doesn’t care.

I actually really liked Kaling’s book because she revealed that she really isn’t that much like her character(s) and that she works super hard for everything she has and she realizes how lucky she has been on top of that hard work. I love Amy Poehler’s work and think she has done a lot of good work for female comics,

That’s just, like, your opinion, man.

I bet you told your 3rd grade class that Santa wasn’t real. (so did I, but mostly because I was of the channukah persuasion). Glad you love him anyway.

I thought her book was so funny!! Maybe not inspiring, but I wasn’t looking for inspiration. I was more looking for the story of her life, which was presented in a humorous way. She’s a comedian and a comedic writer, it seems to make so much sense. Perhaps essays would have been better, but not many people can pull

Yep. I bet Kara or Jia would write one if they were getting paid sweet for it.

False. Mindy Kaling’s book was good. End discussion.

Hot take : Write your goddamn memoir, get your bloody advance. If you’re sick of other people’s memoirs, don’t read them! Pick out something you like and read that instead, instead of complaining about how people shouldn’t write memoirs. If somebody paid me to write a memoir, I’d go for it, even knowing that it’s

I just downloaded Ronda Roussey but in my defense I read about it here.

Yeah, fair enough but I have found some real satisfaction with at least a few of the memoirs recently. Reading Tina Fey and Mindy Kaling’s stories was inspiring and helpful. Both as a lady and as someone who’s trying to make it in the world they’re a part of. I honestly did not feel like they were vanity projects.

See....I love memoirs. I love biographies. I love non-fiction. I’m a non-fiction junkie. I fucking love anecdotes and real stories from interesting* people. So the memoir boom is like my literary wet-dream.

I just finished reading my first David Sedaris and I’m in love.

The film Streetwise is wonderful. Season 3 of The Killing (aka the BEST season) was heavily influenced by it.

The article did mention Marc Jacobs, so we know at least one woman will comment...

And no goddamn kids. That’s the big one.
