$32k for a 25 year old truck with 200k miles. From MB. Yikes. From what I understand, it’s the 2002 and up models that are more desirable from a maintenance perspective, but that’s due to the M113 that this one also has. So I don’t know. I’d just much rather put that $32k towards a Land Cruiser. ND.

I’d much rather buy a 200k LC over a 200k G.

Waiting for the “Dealership requesting the customer to run it through their insurance” bit.

They announced an “Action Plan” about a month ago.

There was a Merkur at one of the houses on my paper route as a kid.  It looked like the future to 10 year old me…and I’ve always like it since.  It’s not entirely rational, but at this price I’d get all nostalgic and pick one up. NP.

Wow… I just saw one of these on Saturday, and that was a friggin’ unicorn.  I haven’t seen one in person in decades.  Seeing one that looks good and is actually for sale for a reasonable amount?  I’m in. NP.

The lesson learned: Don’t buy your dream car if the resulting car loan is one that could be a problem if financial conditions change.

I wonder if the Model 3 is related to the new Model 3…. I know Tesla had a big sales push to close their fiscal year, so the previous numbers are probably higher than they should have been. Then they screwed with interior controls that didn’t need screwing with.

Are there no lawyers in Alaska?

Need more people to buy the LC so that there’s enough supply to buy one used 10 years from now and I can afford it.

Definitely would be very cool.

If it was stock at that price, sure.  The wheels are just wrong…the width of the wheels on the back are laughably too much for the car.  I’m not going to trust a long term owner that doesn’t detail the changes in the ad.  I’m assuming unreported fender bender. ND.

We can probably make a checklist of the stupid claims associated with this truck and see how often an idiot blindly tries one out before thinking critically about the outcome.

Not at all.  And you proved my point.  People buy more than they need when the cost allows, and they don’t want to buy small cars.

The price isn’t bad, but I’d move onto the next listing if I saw this one.  So ND.  I’d imagine the real reason for the price drop: seller hasn’t realized that there are maybe 7 people out there that want a convertible ‘Vette with a 4-point harness and showy wheels.  Reinstall the stock safety bits, and it’ll sell.

People have to want to buy small cars.

6’4”… may first move in every car is seat all the way back and down.  I just remember head hitting the roof and knees on either side of the steering wheel.  It felt tiny (and I currently drive a Miata).

It’s soooooo boring.

I might have said Miata. I own one after all. But it’s not perfect. Just really, really, really ridiculously great. Perfect is something that will do more, but still bring smiles every day.

There was a time I wanted to buy one.  That dried up the moment I sat in one.  It’s clearly only perfect for non-tall people.
