Torn. I like the 928 very much…and price is fine.  But that respray and ill fitting back end has me thing he decided to convert to wide body after an indecent.  The amount of overspray is really annoying too… I think I should be able to find a better example for around this price, so ND.

Yikes! I assume I can add $10k across the board for Canada. Which…there’s the reason why EV sales are down. Automakers like Honda are starting in the same place Tesla started in 10 years ago - premium with high margin for early adopters. Meanwhile, buyers would really like prices to be geared towards the early

“It just came out of nowhere!  I swear!”

Kinda funny how you link “The Power of Love” in the same article that you kick off this week’s EV hate fest.

No doubt they’ve gotten to a point where reliability and desirability can get them over 100k more consistently. 250k though? Combination of styling that might not age well, fit and finish that ages worse, and short refreshes affecting parts availability might make them more of an expensive bic pen.

AFAIK, it’s the same as Canada. My father used to long haul drive from Toronto to Edmonton each week, and winters for him were one of two things: cursing cars that didn’t understand physics and would pull out in front of a truck, and freezing brake lines near Winnipeg.

Yeah... I have serious doubts the Kia in that list is getting to 250k.

It’s a special car, and the price is probably not bad!  But I’m not taking on a Lancia.  ND.

You should try reading.

I bet if the WRX had something better than the CVT, it would sell more autos.  Probably a lot closer to the 50:50 with the GTI.

I did say “You can still shit on Tesla, but maybe cover other things too” for that very reason.

The best part about this: Dealers are clearly so focused on being able to maximize their revenue at the expense of customers that they really don’t care how this looks.

I think it was a lot earlier than that.

So… Jalopnik’s last attempt to use insurance data to shit on Tesla didn’t work out as well, so you wanted to try again with different data?

I’m pretty sure that if I had the space, I’d run into the same thing.  Even with the limited space I have now, having a Miata sitting in the garage means I drive it when ever I want to “drive”. I then don’t run into issues of getting bored with my daily driver.

Considering the inflated prices of decent trucks, this is pretty great. Minimal fuss 2WD truck to just get shit done. This is another vehicle I’d get if I had the driveway space. I’d never buy a full size pickup new - it’s just not a daily driver I’m interested in. But a cheap truck would pay for itself quickly

Money and sensibility aside?

Which is totally fair. It’s just important for others that might see this later to know it’s about capacity (if they ever get through all the ads). 100 amp service isn’t an automatic no for an EV. There is a LOT of fud out there that claims it is though…usually in the form of “EV’s are already more expensive, but

On one hand, V10 for under $30k!  That’s frickin sweet.  But… the “needs TLC” and “90’s Chrysler” scares the shit out of me.  I’m leaning ND as a result, but if I was in the neighbourhood, and had a mechanic who really knows vipers take a look to confirm severity, my opinion could change.  But that’s mostly because

Nope.  It’s never appealed to me either.  Which is weird…because cheap V10!
