I have always been Vanagon-curious, and the market around me would list that higher than it is here... so probably NP. I just wouldn’t blend in with all the hipsters that would want to know all about it up here.

Kinda like it more than I thought I would. A set of these in white might actually be perfect for my miata...
The “shower at the airport” crowd are hard core.
... And if you fly Austrian, they will catch you.
Rolling is the second best method, and by far the easiest (IMO).
This is a good point - my hope is that automakers focus on putting the smallest usable battery to keep car size and weight down. Improving battery tech should allow cars to travel the same distance on smaller battery packs - which should be the priority over fixing the battery size and increasing range as they get…
That’s fantastic!
TIL about snout houses! Also, my house is apparently a snout house.
That’s not really a list of automotive trends, and more a list of things people don’t like.
...and now that we see what the CX-90 is like, it’s even more disappointing. As SUVs go, it’s brilliant. I’m sure the Mazda6 on that platform would have been the best sedan on the road.
Let’s all take a moment to applaud the seller for the vacuum job in the back. In a world where most listings barely get the car in frame, or are filled McD’s litter, the fact this guy posed his car in a fancy neighbourhood with vacuum lines in the cargo area must be appreciated.
That Miata in 13 is fantastic. I might have left the front end alone, but it’s hard to find fault with the end result.
I had a lifted truck tailgating me on the weekend when I was out in my Miata, so I’m all for a blanket ban on lifted vehicles.
Slightly surprised by the Pilot… though maybe they are just thinking about the latest ones. IIRC, the early ones had the same transmission problems the Odyssey had.
Yep. When my father was buying a new F150, I urged him to get the V8. Even though one of his friends swore by the ecoboost. This was the first time he has ever listened to me, and has had a worry-free truck that just keeps pulling their trailer from campground to campground without fuss. It has just under 100k on…
Not sure about dogs - it’s the allethrin that’s the problem, and it seems to be a toss up whether bad/not bad for dogs. Cats do seem to be particularly sensitive though.
Note that the pheromone used in flying insect traps is poisonous to cats. A minor detail you won’t see on their products, but if you look at some of the white papers that exist around the safety of the products, you’ll see it there.
I’m happy that this exists. Not because it’s any good, but because it’s something different. I’d love it if one of our mainstream automakers today would make something interesting and weird. It would be passed over by the market and forgotten because it surely wouldn’t be a CUV, but it would be cool to see.
Rob says some version of “You decide!” every time. If you wouldn’t pay the price, then it’s ND. Doesn’t (or shouldn’t) matter what price it’s been listed at online.
