From everything I hear, the RC can hold up to faster crashes for longer and is more repairable than the motoport.

Yeah I'm thinking about getting it for slow speed, stop and go commuting. Not tons of danger of penetration, and if worse comes to worse hopefully the Cordura will have some resistance.
Mine arrived right after the winter so I'm not exactly sure, but from what I hear thermal underwear and/or fleece does quite a bit of good.
