The most interesting parts of this rambling speech were his impossible promises.  The first being his desire to execute non-violent drug offenders.  And second was his vow to end homelessness by...vowing to end homelessness.

Just a point of legalese: Spacey was found not liable, rather than not guilty. I think it’s important to note that he was not found not guilty. That’s a distinction for criminal courts, and Spacey’s was a civil trial. Civil trials do not determine guilt or innocence, only liability. 

Slate studied the connection between the outcome of sexual assault cases and how well the victim and perpetrator knew each other. The better the victim and perpetrator knew each other, the more likely there was a not guilty verdict because judges and juries still think sexual assault is a giant misunderstanding…

Obscuring a plate does not put anyone at risk, and I don’t think that is the argument being made. The quote itself mentions obscuring your plate so that you can take part in other illegal activity with impunity, including speeding and running red lights, which does generally put others at risk

It’s NYC, blocking the plate number prevents red light cameras, speed cameras and toll stations from seeing the plate. That means you can drive around speeding, running red lights and using all the bridges and tunnels for free. But let’s just skip those for now and think about what happens when there are hit and run…

If that driver is cheating on funding your city / home should be receiving, I think this comes pretty damn close. The government being the victim doesn't make this a victimless crime, it actually makes us all the victims. 

These are the people who run lights and speed without consideration. I assure you that they are just as dangerous as the asshats in Altimas.
