I don’t really know if general VA talent is specifically “underpaid”, given that there is a HUGE amount of people who are willing/want to do it ( there’s either 3 or 4 people at my work who do it as a side gig), due to the extreme flexibility of scheduling and really short performance sessions ( no hours of makeup and

When Hearthstone started out, it was a pretty fun, exuberant experience, but I think that the natural state of how card games work...and when the card pool gets larger...is that the games do eventually just fall into “oh look, I’m playing this next match match against someone who just copied [insert top meta net deck

I’m in the minority that survival horror should have as little combat as possible.  Things just are scary if all you need to do is machine gun your way through enemies.

I don’t know...most of what I remember about Silent Hill ( or maybe 2), was walking around in a school that would suddenly transform into a building with rusted, corroded gates and bloodied chickenwire floors. And little creepy babies that would follow me but not do anything.  That seems like it would match up with

I feel like if you are going to bothered by that, then you should expect to character to be spoken is some forgotten language and have all of his dialog be closed captioned.

Yeah I always thought that Matt had a decent sense of humor on Netflix when he was just being a lawyer guy, and I guess nightly beating up on lesser thugs. It just got morose once the main storyline of the series got going and Matt spent the next 9 episodes continually getting bloodied and beat up upon.

Yep. I never really got how Resident Evil games were scary. Those games were pretty much just “keeping shooting at things from a distance.”

I’ve wanted to try this game, and now that it’s available to the Switch I almost bought it this weekend. But then I read stories like this....and <shudder>.

Actually, I’d like to know how many “richly detailed” characters that we know are definitely hetero-only that there are in Star Wars to begin with. The list is pretty short as far as a casual Star Wars viewer goes, given that most of Star Wars is action-y popcorn fluff and not romantic tragedies.

Yep. This is a typical “I’ve got the highest card showing on the board why would I bother thinking about folding” free play poker style. She’s able to run off some word salad with some poker terms, but clearly she doesn’t understand any of the nuance.

I feel like I’ve slogged through the entire series that I should just finish it up, but I kind of gave up in the middle of the first triad of the final season because I couldn’t see a darned thing that was going on. It was something like 2 or 3 episodes of people wandering around in dark tunnels, followed by a night-ti

Well it's a step better than "full autonomous driving is right around the corner! watch..." (Car plows into crowd)

Top Gun being talked about “frequently” as how politics and pop culture intersect was something no one talked about for 30 years until the machinery of the sequel began. The only mention of Top Gun before 2017 in any kind of light in the last 25 years is mostly video game reviews of cheap ports of updating Top Gun

The whole “ a movie is only as good as it’s pop culture references” needs to stop. When was the last time anyone bought a Top Gun toy before this year?

TLJ was the best of the three movies, as a whole ( it has some annoying parts). Anyone who complains that TLJ “isn’t Star Wars” is one reason why the executives in charge insist that every Star Wars project must rely on nostalgia to continue.

Wasn’t the problem with Rise of Skywalker partly due to “letting talented filmmakers do their own thing”? The whole problem of RoS ( and to a lesser extent, TFA) is that it reeks of JJ Abrams doing his own thing.

Unobtainium, it turns out, is an actual term used since the 1950s.

If that's really your take, why are you even on this website given the amount of cgi in all genre film/shows.

Isn’t part of the fun having to overcome great obstacles in unique ways based on the hand that you were dealt? A pixie should be able to overcome a situation completely differently than a wookie, for example; and the strength and weaknesses of your stat line should reflect that.

There was a reality murder mystery show called Whodunnit that kind of did that. Instead of contestants who lost the weekly “challenge/puzzle” just leaving, they wound up getting murdered in wacky ridiculous ways ( via makeup, special effects and stunt doubles). Then the next episode would start with them in death
