I think the whole point of the sex scene in the comic book was the awkwardness of it...that these people had deep hangups that were only solved by wearing vigilante suits and what not.

Based on the trailer, it’s not hard to add 2 hours of footage when everything is shot in slow motion.
hmmmm, you have a point there!
Rogue One had the planet that was water AND tropical islands!
I’m kind of getting tired of the whole video game “collect 10 bear pelts” storyline structure that’s been going on so far....the one where you move on to the next storyline cutscene, but then the character you meet will only “unlock” the next storyline beat if you go on a side quest mission for them.
You see, you keep thinking that money is the main purpose here. I mean, well sure it is, but part of the Disney remake thing is all about maintaining the intellectual property, and keeping it “in the now”.
YOU TAKE BACK HIGH SPIRITS!!!!
No, that’s true. the film didn’t explicitly state that “ALIENS!” are the cause of everything. But in my mind’s eye, it does upset the world enough that it would give pause to any scientist in that world to think, “oh, if artifact XX that was worshipped by civilization XX is actually run by alien technology, maybe…
Actually, there’s another moment of magic in Raiders...it’s when the box that is holding the arc catches on fire to “remove” the nazi logos when it’s just sitting there al by itself in the cargo hold on the boat.
I remember reading the book adaptation of Temple of Doom when the movie first came out. In the book, the “ripping the heart” out scenes were actually staged magic tricks performed by the bad guy.
As much as I don’t like the prequel movies that much, I do have to commend Lucas on at least trying to make a set of movies completely in different tone and story structure, and use technology to purposely take you to planets that could not exist in real-life.
My take on it is that what makes the “world of Indiana Jones” cool is that it’s a world that has essentially “forgotten about magic.” There are all these artifacts out there, with imbued magic in them caused by all these rituals and such, but we’ve moved on from that for whatever reason ( technology, society, etc…
I was fascinated that someone on SNL would come and do an opening monologue featuring Trump’s “drinking beach” presser, almost 9 months after it happened. That felt really tired.
Without knowing anything about the series...
Look at all these cool new features that will be quickly abandoned because studios only want to spend time on features that are easily cross-platformable?
Yeah. I didn’t mind the concept of staying on the farm for that long ( which is what everyone seems to complain about) given that it seemed like a peaceful oasis. My real problem with the farm episodes were that they were poorly written. It’s been a while now, but I distinctly remember there being a problem with most…
Many years ago, some high school kids did this in our neighborhood. Four of them ran around carrying a door, and a fifth kid dressed up as a little old lady. So they’d run up to groups of little kids, plop down the door, and then “granny” would open it and comment on their costumes while handing out candy. It was…
Apple is introducing new Super Retina XDR OLED panels that produce brighter and more vivid colors, up to 1,200 nits of brightness, and double the resolution of previous iPhones
If you are looking for a boardgame to replicate D&D, I think you will almost always be disappointed, as almost all of them effectively turn into tactical miniature games of beating things up in dungeons.
the best worst rebranding effort i’ve ever seen was for my health saving account, which was boring-but-appropriately-name “Select Accounts.”they rebranded by pulling two random words out of a hat that makes no sense: “Hello Further.“
