I’ve seen that, but I always get gasoline w/o any ethanol. I burn almost all of the mower’s tank doing the yard each time and in the winter, I dump anything that’s left in a vehicle. Having it sit in a cold garage probably helps.

I had an alternator die in an Oldsmobile diesel.  Fortunately, it kept running w/o it, but I had to drive about 20 miles in the dark.  I was lucky there was a full moon out that night.
