I would say the latter is more dangerous as it is more pervasive, ignores (or deliberately silences) the voices of sex workers themselves, promotes counter-productive and harmful policies and is a useful money making exercise…

I think it’ll be like anything else. Certain films will transcend and be talked about. Others will be forgotten. 

I remember reading that Manson was really nothing more than a pimp conman who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time that allowed him to mold a bunch of stupid kids on acid into his tools.

I think a lot of Korean films were dismissed as genre exercises, and often pretty odd to boot. Just not enough to build consensus over a conventional story from a western culture.

I like comic book movies when they’re good, but Scorsese has a 50 year career supporting his point. The idea that he’d need more Oscars to prove his worth as a filmmaker and give him the right to criticize others is ludicrous.
