Preproduction cars tend to be weirdly optioned. An example would be the Explorers supplied for Jurassic Park (although I know that was ages ago). They were high spec models, but had base model glass because it was clear, rather than tinted. Good for filming.

I’d love more of this story. How’d you get it? How’d you know it was preproduction. What was different? What was VW’s take when you tried to get parts for it? etc.

They aren’t getting them legal.

Likely the latter.

They do. It’s just officially a “side by side” so if in your state you can register one of those for road use, you’re golden.

I know about a few of the changes to the Cavalier, but I’d love to know more! Please elaborate if/when you can.

Amusingly, EIGHT WHOLE YEARS LATER I can tell you I know the owner of that Skoda and he imported it because he thought it was interesting. It was over 25 at time of import. Or at least, possibly the car you saw. Was this your card?

Except David rents. He doesn’t own that house.

The Ellimist Chronicles was one of my favorite parts of the series. Plus, I’m not really sure how you cut out Crayak. He’s the antithesis to the Ellimist and a major villain in the series.

Because they’re supposed to be “American.”

BLAHHHHHHI’M GLAD TO SEE THIS CHARITY IS STILL DOING WELL!

It’s definitely been over a year since then. He’s resumed touring.

That’s 76 RON, too. so think more like 68 AKI.

Wonder why this post has so few replies?

How is it still the fastest? Veyron, CCX, Chiron...

Yes. you’re allowed to drive on the right side. Just need something 25 years old, that wasn’t brought in prior to it being 25 years old.

Or buy a Wrangler RHD for rural mail delivery, or an old Legacy RHD, or an old Accord wagon RHD, etc.

Basically, the rule is just that they’ve gotta keep you safe enough in a crash

I’d say that means there’s a good chance other people used the same password as you.

Consider having name badges at the door. Seems like a good idea for people who would want to be identified by their usernames.

They have for a while. It just wasn’t clear which car was referred to in the documentation.

Well, yeah. But that’s fixable. I dunno, seems like a neat thing to own either way.
