They are far more libertarian than America. They are economically the freest countries in the world. The high gas prices they have has nothing to do with their location—import and transportation of the oil is pennies on the price. It's all on the amount of taxes that the government places on gas.

In 2011 F1 has become a bunch of hybrids trying to qualify for NASCAR. Sick of it. Give me all GAS and NO PASS!

It is nearly irrelevant where the oil goes. Oil is a global commodity and you'll get nearly the same price selling it anywhere in the world. If someone pays more then they'll get more sellers wanting to sell there.

Except inflation is low, still nearly an all time low.

Why should they sell oil now when they can sell it ten years from now at twice the price? Seems like a smart thing to do to me.

You're clueless and an embarrassment to real Libertarians. Here's what gas costs in countries with truly libertarian governments:

Nothing, I can't imagine there being anything dangerous at a nuclear power plant, it is 100% safe and only the russian plants are dangerous.

Sure, but the leaf has a hell of a lot more torques than any comparable econocar.

440 volt is only expensive because the electric lines running by your house don't carry it. However, nearly everyone has 240 volt lines, and newer houses have 100 amp service minimum. That's a shitload of power, way more than an electric car really needs. There's definitely a tradeoff between quick charge and battery

Really, generation 1 products aren't great? The Model T was actually a shitty car? The Eniac was a bitch to program?

If you're stupid enough to pay $.23/kWh to fuel a car...

@brandondparris: SEriously? I've always thought that the Camry SE body work is the best looking out of all family sedans. I've seen one blacked out that you could barely recognize as a Camry. Sure, they still drive like a Camry, but they look decent.

Can't believe he's trading it in for that 2009 Civic hybrid

@Frankenbike666: You're conflating power (kW or HP) with capacity. Think of capacity as the fuel tank. A corvette doesn't need a fuel tank that's much larger than a civic, even though the corvette has a maximum power rating about 4x of the civic. That's because people generally drive them about the same speed...not at

@MaWeiTao: Agreed, let's screw these jerks who have so much money to spare! Tax them until they can't afford that 40k car.

@BLU-666: Bzzt. Cars will largely be charged at night when there's plenty of capacity and power is cheap. It will be at least a couple decades for electric cars to motivate any changes in our grid infrastructure.

@Spinnyd: You can get a kit to make your Fiero look like a Ferrari, too.

@irima_yahsiy: Doing his job. If $1.6+ million are rolling around on the street, a cop should really be there.
