The Europa League overall is such a pain in the ass that any team in England that doesn’t finish in the top 4 is almost better off tanking to finish 7th or 8th than dealing with the grind of the Europa League. Unless you can win it it’s really not worth it.

A lot of these “Pabst is in danger” stories are simply saying “if they lose the lawsuit, Pabst is fucked” without going deeper into it. Couldn’t they just contract with another brewer like A-B, Yuengling or Sam Adams? Although then it wouldn’t be made in Milwaukee anymore.

Have noticed both that PBR has gone up in

It’s beautiful, the NFL killed the “move to LA threat”. Now when the billionaires attempt to hold cities hostage, their options are the Alamodome, Qualcomm Stadium, London or Toronto.

Very nice work, but you left out the plight of Toledo as the only city which has the Browns and Lions as its local TV teams. Many millennials have given up on both and root for the Steelers.

Shake Shack’s food is actually worse than Burger King. But since they’re located in places that are popular tourist destinations where conditions actually often resemble Altamont (Mall of America, Manhattan) people desperate for ANY sustenance eat it and like it.

Swept by the Cardinals even as Rick Ankiel was getting the yips.

Knocked out by a home run in the 18th inning by the immortal Chris Burke.

She has to be blood relations with the Huckabees.

The whole team fell off the face of the earth. They seriously looked like the best team in the NFL during the 2008 regular season (granted, 2008 was a strange year), lost to Baltimore at home in the playoffs, and were next seen on TV when Mariota threw a touchdown pass to himself.

Could be worse, it could have been an Arby’s bathroom in Clarksburg or Huntington. But yeah.

I’ve worked with a woman from Dundalk for many, many years. Recently she very proudly announced that her 17-year old daughter was pregnant.

I’m convinced there are two main groups of people who still attend live NFL games: Octogenarians who think home games are still blacked out locally on TV, and younger people who know they can get away with behavior that is literally unacceptable anywhere else.

As much as I love the Packers, you’re pretty much right. In the late 80's SI ran an article openly calling for the team to be moved to Milwaukee full-time. Green Bay was Siberia for football players back then, Deion Sanders openly did not want to be drafted there.

Yep. Capitol Brewing in Madison and Titletown Brewing in GB have some damn good ones too.

Almost any major city in the Midwest is similar, though.

I want to agree but I’m really not sure. There’s actually a significant portion of the fan base that dislikes Rodgers for not being Favre. Listen to Green Bay sports radio and you hear 60-year old guys complaining about Rodgers being too corporate, too Hollywood (YAH, HE DATED AN ACTRESS DONTCHAKNOW?) and too

Youngstown’s much worse than either. Youngstown makes TOLEDO look nice.

The whole state of Ohio is like that, although in other parts of the state you substitute other schools for UK.

And if you don’t get the fuck out as soon as you graduate high school and never come back, you WILL be trapped, and the most you can aspire to is working in a Chrysler plant or something.

Yeah, WKRP SHITS any current TV show.

Lol. The Bears literally play in a disgusting public funded stadium. And no other town besides Gary has ever wanted them, and even Gary’s interest was half-assed so they crawled back to the Park District as landlord.

The Polish neighborhoods on the north side still get new immigrants from the old country and are still kind of insular.

Otherwise, you must be reading old Mike Royko columns from the 60's far too closely.
