I remember playing Mikie and Yie Ar Kung Fu on the C64 as a starry eyed child. What other wonders would these “Konami” guys create in the future...

As if new players need anything else to put them off this confusion fest.

Damn, you’re dishonest. You used an anecdote to support your position; I misinterpreted nothing and I complained about nothing. What I did was point out that the timeframes in question far exceed the average time it takes someone to finish a book. Directing me to another persons anecdotal experience does not change

I finished the last ASOIAF book on its year of release. I’m not mad about the delay, totally indifferent actually but...trying to rationalise the comically long wait for Winds of Winter by revealing your own anecdotal story about writing a book for 18 years isn’t really working (and I have to assume you don’t write

Man I love Deathloop, I was obsessed with that game for a couple of weeks and part of what makes it so great are the two leads and their twisted relationship. Cole might be my favourite protag of 2021.

Blacklist was decent, true enough, but the homogeny within Ubisofts catalogue has only increased since 2013 and Ubi Toronto’s Far Cry 5/6 and Watch Dogs Legions are among the worst offenders. My post is tongue in cheek tbh, I suspect the devs have little control over this, but do people really want to see a SC game

“Original Splinter Cell Being Remade...”

Considering the dev hasn’t updated the game in over a year I’d say there’s a 50/50 chance it’s been abandoned. The early access version is fun enough with friends though, if not a bit pricey.

Racism requires an inherent imbalance of power over the people the term is being used against.”

What’s funny is, I thought the OPs comment was pure parody and replied in kind. Then I looked at his post history...turns out he’s serious. Jokes on me I guess.

Right, Peter is one of the first visionaries to really understand the synergies between video games and the NFT landscape. I can already see he is taking a holistic approach here and leveraging his industry connections to bring us this gift. Feeling really excited about Legacy and can’t wait to give Peter my hard

Halo Infinite’s campaign will be missing graphics at launch. A 343 spokesperson said “We’re still looking into how to tackle this one, but we think players will be really happy with the high quality audio experience we’ve delivered”.

I doubt the casual observer would question if this is real; it looks amazing. Put it in front of people who play videogames for a hobby though and it’s unlikely to fool most of them.

I do generally agree but I don’t think PoP is the analogous example; it had initial slow sales but was ultimately a commercial success and spawned 3 direct sequels. Despite being in a similar situation, with a tragic release window, T2 wasn’t able to gain the same momentum. Really a shame since it was so much better

I too went from utterly hyped to feeling kind of dubious about this game being anything other than a steaming trash pile. Thanks Euterpe!

A Song of Mice & Feline ire

This take is hotter than the steaming turd my dog just furnished our backyard with and bears a similar odour to boot.

Black Magic Software’s legal team:

Tbh, I thought this game had come and gone, probably because in my head it’s completely interchangeable with Agony.

Sorry to focus on just one line of your post but the sentiment that Dread is among the upper echelons of the genre, and a soon to be classic, is something I cannot understand. To be clear, this isn’t a “why doesn’t everyone think like me” post but for framing; this is probably my favourite genre and I’ve played almost
