“Imagine for a moment a precision platformer that is not only amazing-looking and smartly designed, but also accessible to regular human beings. Dizzy?”

This is an old song to sing but...barring Sekiro, every souls style game in the Fromsoft stable has a method of drastically reducing difficulty; summoning.

Duplication was possible for PS4 souls games, although rather than being an in-game glitch it relied on mules and an abuse of the cloud save data function. I imagine it will still be possible on PS5. Having said that I don’t know what kind of trade restrictions, if any, may have been implemented in the remake..

The remake puts a limit on healing items but I think Demons is still the shortest Souls game, especially if you take DLC into account. I got a lot of mileage out of multiplayer back in the day though.

Looks like we got lip syncing too; only the magnificent Andre of Astora has previously has the honor in a Souls game (unless you count Sekiro). Also, the Crestfallen Warrior looks...different. Did they have to pick this dejected husk of a man for their race swap?

Pretty much any Yakuza game. It’s the kind of series where you have so much choice about the tempo of the game. The slice of life stuff is so great, strolling around Kamurocho taking in the atmosphere, singing karaoke, relaxing in the bathhouse, fishing or playing a little majong. And if you want drama and action you

Speak for yourself.

Great, now I can spend another 2 hours meticulously crafting that grimdark antihero look only to shove on some headgear moments later. And it’s not like anyone in multiplayer cares either. Those lag stabs will get you whether you look like Shrek or Guts. I’ll still do it though...

Teardown is already a ton of fun, even in early access, and that increases tenfold when you start playing with mods. The game has huge potential.

First thing I did was turn off DoF, I found it really distracting. The game looks great with the rest of the effects turned on imo, but your mileage may vary. Most of it can be adjusted.

It’s only a matter of time before a mod for this is developed. A multiplayer mod is already WIP.

For me, this theme, along with the dulcet tones of Stockpile Thomas, just radiated safety and respite. As Soulslike hub areas go, only the Hunters Dream comes close in my opinion.

Yeah, there’s some awesome Halloween themed ones around just now. Sadly they are still tethered to a fundamentally broken game. I don’t think I ever had a session without some bug or issue and I laugh whenever someone tells me how they’ve fixed most of the issues and that it’s good now. When it works it is a lot of

You can play the campaign missions solo though they are clearly designed around 2 player coop. I tested the first mission on my own just to try things out and it was a breeze on the normal difficulty. That being said, I only just finished single player so my competence with the game should still be high. Will

There’s a ton of games that I’ve learned to love despite a critical panning but sadly MG:Survive isn’t one of them despite being a MG fan for more than 2 decades. If the campaign had been fully coop, as the promotional material led many to believe, and they had expanded upon the excellent systems/mechanics introduced

Like I said, I’m surprised they cared enough to tell us.

Love this art style, though Drake looks like he would have a shot at taking down Kratos here :D

I’m surprised they cared enough to tell us, let alone take any punitive action against the player who caused the premature triggering of the cutscene. Unless they’re trying to convince the already small number of interested parties to return to PS3 FOB mode? That doesn’t make sense either but I have a hard time

This would make more sense if they were re-recording dialogue with Tom Holland (which would be quite a bit of work considering the multiple recordings of lines for different levels of exertion during gameplay etc.). Now we have a PP that looks like him but sounds different. It creates a weird and unnecessary

Despite playing SS and EB first I still prefer L:SSC and L2:EBC. I think the story changes were for the better mostly and the remakes expanded nicely on the originals while remaining true to the overall narrative beats. Heathen that I am, I also prefer the remake music and, as you mentioned, the intro song for SSC is
