That was my point. I wanted a "warm bulb" but when I got home it measured in at 4800k on my color meter, thus I returned it.

RE: dimming
check out the eco line at home depot. I bought one of their "warm white" bulbs and it measured in at 4800k.
none, thankfully. I live on the coast. But it sounded like the OP was in need of some extermination.

"It's hollow aluminum tubing, coiled into a disk, with two inlets leading from the coil. "
I agree with everything everyone has said. I was just making a point that because the physics of calories in / calories out makes sense, it doesn't mean telling someone that is going to help them lose weight at all. There are a lot more factors involved in weight loss and its different for every person.
Im sorry, but saying calories in = calories out you shouldn't gain weight, is way over simplifying the topic. Its kinda like saying if you just put gas in your car it will always run smoothly. There are many intricacies in how your body operates beyond the calorie count of the food you put in.
What about the things you ate did you change? Were you simply eating less McDonalds and Pepsi, or did you cut those things out at the same time lowering your calorie intake?
"It doesn't make any difference... Calories count. If you can show me that it doesn't work, I'd love to see it. Or anybody else who says it doesn't—there ain't no data the other way around."
he looks related to that tore-up chick that burned down the old tree
