Yes, the loop is the way to do it, but the way they showed it looked overly complicated. Just use your pointer finger to push the cable up a bit as you make your first wind, then wrap as normal.

Remember, iPhone isn't quite as closed as it once was. Jailbreaking is now legal and will likely become more prevalent. I think we will see a small uprising of 'unsupported' apps that will rival the 'openness' of android.
