Another fairly quiet week in gaming.
Another fairly quiet week in gaming.
Still Friday here...
Oh no, I did all them (you had to get supplies, ammo, stuff like that).
Something odd happened in my game of Honest Hearts.
Hear, hear.
My favourite thing about here is the mix of gaming; if I ever get stuck what to talk about, I can reminisce about an old Amiga game, read what folks are up to in their tabletop hobby or excitedly reply to a post about a game I’ve not played in years.
It’s not unusual.
I remember seeing the very early version and thinking it looked a bit like “Sir, You Are Being Hunted.” A nice concept but a rather shaky foundation for a game. Then they re-tooled it to have more of a plot/aim and I thought, “OK, well that’s something.”
Routine hit two big problems since its announcement; Alien: Isolation and SOMA. I’m not saying there isn’t room for another sci-fi survival horror these days, but I think it lost its USP a bit when both those titles landed.
I like to imagine what I think the writer of the letter *wants* to hear and, in this case, I can only imagine it was something like, “This person is nothing like you, you’re right! You need to thoroughly and systematically get them to change every aspect of themselves. Then things will be alright.”
I’ve even had it with friends. I made a dismissive comment to someone I had known for years (“Not this old dance again”) and they fucking flipped, told me that I was lucky to be friends with them, that they had listened to “all my shit” and that they hoped “something bad would happen to me and I’d be dismissed too, so…
The HEAL things seems no-win to me; if you stay in the relationship, these issues almost certainly won’t fix themselves. If you leave, the girlfriend can turn around and say, “Ha! I knew you didn’t really like me. I win.”
No, but a friend of mine did and I think I was more keen to use it than he was.
I was keen on VR until I tried it.
