I’m thrilled for Sabine and Chris, but this whole thing has me really worried. Top Gear was more of an entertainment-focused show than it was a hardcore automotive enthusiast show. From top to bottom, the show was produced for TV viewership with all of its yuk-yuk-jokes, one-liners, and characterizations of the hosts.

They can get all these great car people, but unless they have a chemistry like the boys did then this show will not be anywhere near as good.

Not terribly shocking. It’s yet another example of voting against one’s self-interests. This is no different than people who reside in the poorest states, yet are staunch Republicans who will cut funding for social programs and their support system.

It’s inconvenient, but with the amount of human trafficking going on in the world, where many victims are young women from Asia, I can’t get mad at the TSA/ICE about this. I would be more mad if some actual human trafficking victims were just waved through along with their victimizers.

I totally get the appeal of fiscal conservatism, or limited federal government, but when your party seems to object to your very existence as a human being, I’m not really sure how you can turn a blind eye.

Yeah being a WOC in American society is very tiring. I’m tired of dealing with racism in all forms. And I don’t think it’s too much to ask that people who have media attention, who will talk about things like gun violence, speak out against racism instead of perpetuating it.
