@QualityJeverage: Thank you.
@QualityJeverage: Thank you.
@Polybius: That was the British!!
@Slagathorian: Save the trees and kill the children.: No they burnt York (Modern day Toronto Ontario area).
iPad still kills in one more area- The existence of the excellent iWork suite. We haven't even seen a native google Docs client on Android. Now my Galaxy S might not need to create documents well, but my tablet sure as hell better do it.
@Anarkiwi: Resistance 2 was a pretty good game. But it lacked the character and novelty of Resistance 1. And the polish in the games story clearly wasn't there (contributing to that lack of character assessment). It just felt disjointed, even though it was technically superior in every way, except for maybe the weapon…
I wish that Insomniac would make Resistance just a little less err hopeless.
We can so drive!! I should have my ticket reduced because I managed to 100 in a 60 mph zone WHILE drifting around the corner into oncoming traffic for 400 Meters. Thats like a whole boost bar!
@ConfederateRokr: Just delete Gallery from the URL like so [kotaku.com]
This reminds me of the new tech they have prototyped for cars where they can display a HUD on the windshield. I've seen pictures of some pretty cool prototypes, and it makes a lot more sense because you can keep your eyes forward instead of down.
@Revenge_of_Nekojin: I know for psychological reasons its important. I'm just saying people shouldn't think like that.
To be honest the price of the console is irrelevant. You will be spending a sum many times more than the price of the console on games. So it's game prices that really matter, if you look at this rationally. The difference between a $50 standard for games and $40 is huge, especially for a digital mostly system where…
I would buy new pairs of pants in order to fit the PSP2 in my pocket.
I just want to sensually stroke that rear capacitive touchpad.
So can us console owners all come together to trash PC Gamers then?
@Ueziel: Do you not understand my point? There is a completely different market structure for game consoles and other consumer electronics. Consoles have almost always been loss leaders to start out. Game companies then make up that money with licenses for game sales.
@Whooped.D.Dew: 4G still isn't even on in most metro areas, and would cost significantly more because the cellular chips are new.
@Ueziel: Yeah. But most of that is markup. For example the iPhone 4 costs Apple around $200 to make in parts and labor, but unsubsidized it sells for $550. Game consoles don't typically have the luxury of having a markup, and instead make back money as a loss leader.
@Kakkoii: Not enough 4G networks, and 3G would be fine for multiplayer gaming/app using. Somehow I think even on a plan downloading games over cellular modem are out of the question. PSP games topped out at 1.8 GB I think (UMD size). Also 3G cellular chips are cheap by now
@HardRojo: OLED screen shouldn't actually cost that much. They are pretty standard on Android phones nowadays (the entire Galaxy S line for example has Super AOLED screens). the OLED screen should help with battery life.
I wonder if it's going to be so expensive that it will need a carrier subsidy.... I kid. Sort of.
