@Honoguma: So cost more and they still refuse to discount?

Ouch. Unless Nintendo finally learns to discount software, that's not very good.

I'm kind of confused by 'support'. Doesn't the PSN have all the proper documentation for developers? Do other developers need more support?

@Slagathorian: Save the trees and kill the children.: You can't really just throw money at it and presume you will have a engine that can run 1080p like running water. The only big budget console game I know that runs at 1080p is Gran Turismo 5, and it seems like they had to do cruddy shadows because of the power

There is no need for it yet. The only things that are dying to be upgraded now are probably memory (PS3 has a pathetic amount of RAM), and resolution (1080p as a standard would be nice). Neither of those things area vital now, and this console generation is already the most expensive it's ever been in recent times

@mrantimatter: I could see it being $300 in the US but with a premium pack with all the accessories like they launched the first PSP. Anything more than that and count me out, no matter how awesome the console is.

Oh god, I am imagining the PSP2 price now.

@doctorrobert: Oh and I just read the Nick Denton piece on his vision for moving past the blogging format, and I completely disagree with him that the new format makes it less of a blog.

I don't know where to start when talking about the beta.

@Urabutln: Yeah, I wouldn't say that much, but there probably are a good deal of gamers who in part enjoy games more than any other medium because it doesn't rely on facial expressions. I know I don't really enjoy a film with a great acting performance as much as I enjoy a film with fantastic writing and direction.

I'm ambivalent toward the movement to use accurate facial expressions in gaming. I personally have almost no intuitive ability to tell what people think based on facial expressions. This is because of some psychological reason (call it what ever you want, psychologists themselves don't fully understand these things).

@create_faster: It can. But most people like to ride on bikes with more aggressive angles for training and just plain riding. It's faster and more efficient. This just looks way too plush for me.

Geometry isn't aggressive enough.

Please get off my Daily show Olivia Munn. Pleeeeease. I don't care about geek cred or how she 'earned it'. She has no sense of comedic timing. Her delivery of lines on the daily show is cringe-inducing. Samantha Bee puts her to shame and she is probably the 6th best correspondent on the show today.

@Surturius: I know it has sleep and all, but it still kind of ruins the experience. Like I cannot image stopping my game in the middle of a God of War I level for example, but I can get through at least a compartmentalized chunk of a Chains of Olympus level (or the whole level itself) without having to stop.

Meh. I wasn't expecting much from an Uncharted movie to start out with. Isn't the point of the game that it IS a playable movie? Or so I think.

Exited for this.

@TheCug: Seriously just get a PSP 3000 or 2000. The games are all heavily discounted (Nintendo STILL sucks monkey balls in this regard). It does have a great library of games that are just dirt cheap.
