@keiyakins: I understand your analogy, but hackers were trying to crack the PS3 for years before OtherOS was removed. It's not like the best hackers in the world all focused on the PS3 after OtherOs was removed. There is a good deal of money in piracy modding devices. The timing is mostly coincidental.

@keiyakins: Because hackers were not trying to crack it before? Or that OtherOs worked soo flawlessly and was used by so many people that it was considered a vital feature?

@Veit: Same. But Casino Royale is one of the only Bond movies that makes Bond a dynamic character. Bond's personal story arc kind of finishes with Casino Royale and he becomes, well the normal Bond we know. Any movie canonically after it can't really be like Casino Royale.

This sort of thing is fun with littlebigplanet.

Amazon all the way. I've got Amazon Prime, so free two day shipping. Incredible deals. Lowest average price.

I commend KakaRoto for keeping the kernel unchanged, I can see the use of homebrew application support (which according to the blog post will happen later).

@Jon: Yeah but Sony can code a much better emulator with its inside knowledge of the PS2s instruction set than home-brew hackers. Notice how Ps2 emulator's require bogusly powerful pcs to run and still don't run perfectly.

@PsychoNun: Blagh. Multiplayer ruins my suggestion of Shatter. But seriously get it sometime. And I know its less than ten, I think I bought it for 5. HIGHLY recommend it if the multiplayer component isn't necessary.

YEEES!! Starred Facebook account restored.

@TheLAG: I would not mind it one bit if they ripped that from Assassins Creed. Or he could just hold a knife.

@Edward Yee: I never played AC1 so I wouldn't know. But because I have studied the period (specifically Renaissance and Baroque Rome) I know AC Brotherhood at least kept with historical accuracy, much to my dismay. The story would have been more epic if there was some close knit contrived ending. Brotherhoods ending

Am I one of the only people here that is not the least bit interested in the modern story at all?

@forsinain42: Because they wanted to be historically accurate. Ceasre didn't die until 1507, wheras 99% of brotherhood takes place in 1500, while Alexander VI dies in 1503.

oh no.

To everyone asking can I see if my account has been hacked, go to this Slate widget that Lifehacker linked to [www.slate.com] .

@Liudeius: Because a lot of people keep the same passwords for all their accounts.

@disposable157: The budgets for Civilization 5, Total war, and pretty much any other RTS styled game are puny compared to a big AAA action game production. The budgets for those games easily start at $30 million and skyrocket from there.

@Char Aznable: The Sims and windows are poor comparisons to big budget AAA action games. Both essentially cornered their markets, and comparing windows to anything other than a direct monopoly good doesn't work.

@Square101: It punishes the pirates as well because it denies them the use of the DLC. It's just that the rest of the PC playing public is collateral damage.
