Do we even know that though? Can we take what we saw at face value? It was a hypnosis based memory. On top of that we see that he was Dracula and/or Lucifer at least part of the time.
Me, I'm with Glutenglutton, I could have done with more of the other storylines.

Again, acting chops aside we didn't see anything that couldn't have been done in 10 minutes of a B plot with plenty of other things going on. We only get 10 episodes a year, I'd like each one to have more going on storywise. We have 4 other story lines going on I'd like to see these get advancement too.
Also, as far

"I'm not into Costume play I'm into costume Business." - The Monarch (from the Venture Brothers episode: Victor Echo November

It's not a fair question. The books have been through dozens of printings in different sizes and formats and the answer would only be correct for the specific printing. You could ask which chapter, I suppose or even how many paragraphs into the chapter that happens, but "which page?" It doesn't work.

Perhaps that should be the new CW motto: "Defy Rationality" ;)

The need to do Public Enemy's "Fear of a Cat Planet". :)

Heck, given next week's Flash preview, Quentin could still be right. Sure, it's an alternate dimension version, and maybe a supervillian, but eh? Who's perfect? She's still back, right? ;)

I re-watched Jaws a few years ago and ran into Roy Scheider saying "That's one bad hat, Harry" and doing a double take.

The Speed force isn't sentient in the comics. Me, I'm thinking it is an incredible cross-over and that what we actually saw was The Master from "The Venture Brothers."

re:Laurel - Look at it this way. In the end E2 Doctor Light wasn't really a super-villain, just a small time thief looking for a way out. Perhaps "Black Siren" could actually stick around and be semi-heroic.

One can even look at it as not being denial at all. He's seen people come back happen multiple times in the past, using a variety of techniques.

I didn't find it emotionally engaging on several levels.

That was pretty much my take on it. I found that whole plot-line manipulative and basically pointless.

"Tick, Why are you here?"
"Wait, I know this one . . . I'M HERE BECAUSE A BIG CLOWN HIT ME!!"

I guess, I am just not entirely clear on how she thinks Martin would actually be able (or willing) to help out. He's powerful, but . . .

That would have been pretty cool.

I saw it as the point where Penguin broke his conditioning.

That was kind of a question I had. If she has the knife and the ability to wield it, why didn't she just kill the Beast and then have Penny take her back to Earth to kill her attacker?

Some stray thoughts:

The implication from both the books and the show is that not only have they been there and died, but it's happened multiple times not only with them but with others.
