I am actually reminded of "House": The TV show and the character. In the first few seasons House was a know-it-all and a jerk but he was entertaining. As they tried to make him "realistic" (in an extremely unrealistic manner) it became less fun to watch so I stopped.

For a moment, just for a moment, I misread the title and thought that Jackson was going to star in a version of "The Old Man and the Sea" and I thought, 'Odd choice, but I bet he could make it work, not in some over-the-top action star way, but as a serious work.'

My understanding was slightly heavier than that. Marceline tried to get the cure, failed (or was unable to deliver it) and then decided she'd rather die with PB than live without her.

Have we seen Clive's ballistics guy before? He seemed to be generating a goth/vampire sort of vibe that makes me wonder if we aren't going to see other supernatural types next season.

Boy, do I feel old.

Nah, use a d4, They're like little pyramids! Also if you are being chased irl you can drop them on the ground like caltrops.to slow your pursuers, particularly if you have the 1st edition D&D set with the pointy tops. .

Actually, this needs to be a cross-over with the Marvel Universe starring Black Bolt of The Inhumans wandering around New York.

Which is part of the problem. Whether Scott likes it or not part of the draw for this movie is its connection to the other films in the series. If he didn't care, why bother calling it an "Alien" movie at all.

That's supposed to be Sabine Wren from Star Wars Rebels, but it looks like someone modded an old Barbie doll. Also,. if you are going to use Rebels characters, why not do Hera?

Beyond visceral satisfaction would argue that it would have achieved the removal of a dangerous predator from the environment. To paraphrase Penny: Murdering rape gods are everyone's problem.

Agreed, which I think is frankly one of the reasons Julia should have shot Reynard (or Persephone, if there had been two bullets). I felt that both Reynard and Persephone (heck Ember and Umber as well) kind of need a lesson in the repercussions of their action or inaction.

Right up to the end I was expecting it to be revealed that Our Lady Underground was just a different manifestation and/or illusion created by Reynard to trick Julia..

They went well off the path of the books with this episode

Huh, no mention of the missing 20 pages in the review.

The name stuff might also be a play on real life. Kal Penn broke his first name (Kalpen) in half to create a stage name that sounded less ethinic.

I liked a lot of the episode but I was disappointed that they didn't stick to the books on the duel with the Lorians.
In the book it was one of the scenes where you really get that Eliot absolutely kicks ass and deserves to be the High King.
Instead, we have a continuation and deepening of a bad situation that even

Some of my thoughts on your thoughts:

I see this more as an extension of how she was in season 1. She wasn't a particularly 'nice' person to begin with. The FU fighter wanted them dead and was willing to act on it. The Lorians showed up and demanded her troth. The stakes are higher and she feels a little out of her depth. Acting decisively (if perhaps

And a Crater on the Moon.

Hey, you forgot "A Stitch in Time" episode of The Outer Limits. One of my favorites.
