The tiler definitely did a little bit of radio/TV hijacking as well. There's a documentary movie, "Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles" that goes into detail about it.

Christ I'm going to be so very very sad if this was Diana Rigg's swan song on this show. She elevated every scene she was in.

Yes, apparently we are.

Colbert wears a wig, or at least a hairpiece.

"The Doctor's Daughter" is my personal vote for the abyssal nadir of the new series. Most of the other candidates for the title are really just boring misfires (looking at you, Unicorn & the Wasp), but TDD is a cavalcade of terrible writing decisions compounded by terrible acting and direction decisions. My thought when I heard the news about Brockie: "Faced with the task of having to torture Fred Phelps for all eternity, Satan had to call in the big guns."

Google image search suggests that she's maybe — maybe — had a little work done around the cheeks (although maybe she just has good cheekbones and an overly aggressive makeup artist), but mostly I think we're just looking at an all-time genetic lottery winner here.

Holy crap, that cannot be a recent photo…can it? She looks like she hasn't aged a day since Mork & Mindy wrapped.

And don't forget the agonizing, unending chapters devoted to the consistently uninteresting cthulhu-worshipping Dread Pirate Robertses.

I can get not liking Littlefinger as a character — I mean, he's objectively one of the most horrible people in Westeros, a world not lacking in horrible people — but painting him as a self-aggrandizer is a hard sell.

Pay for HBO Go to assuage your conscience. Then bittorent the episode like a sane human being so you can actually watch it.

When did guy that plays the hound get so good at acting?

Except that Bernadette Peters is awesome.

Your comment was 100% improved by reading it to myself in the Comic Book Guy's voice.

THIS IS THE BEST DECEMBERWEEN EVER!

Five years ago I would have said yes. But now? I don't want Scott anywhere near that book.

In both senses of the term.

At this point I think we can safely assume that Ridley Scott is just trolling us.
