I think they're getting more expensive because the standards for CGI modeling are getting higher. If animators were told "hey, just use the mid-90s level of CGI," then I have to assume that would be super cheap by now, but they're not - they're keeping up with the latest advances, but that keeps costing a lot of money.

I know you're joking, but no matter how much love PFT gets, it's not as much as he deserves.

I didn't get to mention this last week because I was moving, but where was the love for the latest Dead Authors Podcast, with Gary Gygax? For one, it was hilarious throughout, and for two, even if it wasn't, it would've been worth it just for the "call me Gary!" toward the end.

I thought the boss was Nick Kroll at first - he sounded sort of like a German El Chupacabra.

They have the house perfectly preserved from the day she didn't die on a boat.

I thought he did a reasonably good job explaining it, but it wasn't helped by Dan's reflexive stance against both the government and corporations. He seemed to be having a tough time conveying that no, the government is actually the good guy here, and the corporations are trying to fuck you.

I bet you're a lot of fun at parties.

Oh, I'm definitely on Spencer's side. He admittedly brought it up in kind of a snide way, but Dan's reaction was totally out of whack. He apparently views "any criticism or really any kind of negative feedback whatsoever" as "being told what to do," which, holy shit. Just be like "sorry, we'll try to include you more

I would've liked to hear him try to one-up Bill Carter's workouts with the workouts they did when he was a Navy SEAL. That's a pretty easy angle to take.

I thought PFT was actually going to die at that.

He could've played up the fitness angle a bit more, maybe? Although I'm a little worried right now that anyone Adomian impersonates is doomed to imminent death.

Two comments:

"Hello fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power. Good. Thank you, thank you. If you vote me, I'm hot. What? Taxes, they'll be lower… son. The Democratic vote for me is right thing to do Philadelphia, so do."

As long as Gillian Jacobs keeps calling him RowboatCop.

I don't know if he's ever done an all-character ep, but there was one a while back with Paul F. Tompkins, Ice-T, and Cake Boss (and yes, obviously, all three are PFT) that's pretty awesome. I think it's probably well out of free-download territory now, though.

It's every week; they just took some time off for Christmas. Now, the Monday scheduling and the weird placement of the article that makes it super hard to find sometimes - that's something worth complaining about.

I think someone last week coined the term "the Paul F. Tompkins Off-Mic Guffaws Seal of Approval," which also applies pretty hard to today's CBB.

The extra-weird part, as they noted, was how his first defense was "I'm a good tipper" instead of "I just don't think I ever happened to bring her there," or "I brought her in a few times, you just must not have noticed or not been working."

I think the best example was the attempted "ten thousand bucks" bet with (I think) Perry during one of the primary debates. If it wasn't already abundantly clear that he was out-of-touch with regular people, that hammered it home - the casual way he said it made it clear that $10K was just a bet on the golf course to
