I realize this opinion could very well get me murdered around here, but Mel Brooks movies do not age well.

Yeah, they're all pretty brutal at discussing that stuff. The racial discussions can be interesting if Kumail is there, and I thought Erin would lend a similar dynamic to a gender-based discussion, but it was really just talking in circles and ending up nowhere. They should've just spent the whole episode talking…
The closing-sentiment-off was the funniest thing CBB's done in ages. PFT's almost totally incoherent phrases vs. Lapkus's…whatever hers were.
Yeah, this is pretty much what I was thinking. I think they probably just had the episode already crammed too full of other ideas and wanted to leave that plot thread to be able to come back to. I would expect it'll be dealt with in the next couple of seasons
I think Sherlock was just weirded out by how much they looked alike. There wasn't supposed to be anything more to it than that.
(PFT audibly trying not to die from laughter)
If Paul F. Tompkins doesn't appear on Ice-T's podcast as Ice-T, this entire medium will have wasted its potential.
Absolutely nothing can kill professional soccer in Seattle. Sounders fans are the closest thing the US has to Euro-level fans.
Is this Podmass for this week? Comedy Bang Bang was really good.
Yeah, that was probably the best one since the pre-tour one with Eric Idle. The Brooklyn one from the tour maaaaaybe tops it.
The JRR Tolkien one is a goddamned masterpiece.
They did move the Safeco fences in last year, which made it about average for home runs. But yeah, it's still no New Yankee Stadium.
I started on Put Your Hands Together after hearing Cameron Esposito on CBB. It's pretty good - not polished and a lot of the comedians on there are clearly working out bits, but it's a lot of fun and I've found new comedians that I like a lot.
"Triple platinum" might mean "three platinum albums"…? I'm guessing. Or maybe "triple platinum" just worked better with the line.
Fourvel's tiny, waifish "it'th been" is one of the funniest goddamned things I've ever heard.
If you're going to spell it wrong, please call him Mr. Marshall.
Please, call him Garry.
I'm nominating Fran Bennett (recently Troy's grandma in Community). She has the exact severity that I would expect from Holt's mom.
yes I think that was the implication of the joke
