That doesn’t always hold true. Sometimes what you’re paying for isn’t what you get. Taxis vs Uber/Lyft come to mind, in a lot of cases you’re paying more for a taxi and get worse service. Disruptive apps and business models can fundamentally change the way industries work, in many ways for the better.
