I don’t disagree that Democratic apathy was a strong part of why Trump won. I’m just laying out all the factors. There wasn’t one cause here, but I can’t sit here and accept that he won “fair and square”. He won by being a bully, a cheat, and because the system is easier to take advantage of than we ever gave it

Read the whole comment. The EC was only one aspect of the system that was weighted unfairly towards his win. Not to mention the manipulative practices of Wikileaks and the FBI. Trump won, in part, because the playing field was made easier for him. I’ve fully accepted that Trump won. I won’t accept that it’s fair.

You don’t need hope, because this definitely happened. We know who Barack Obama is. He’s been a man who always knows what to say and when. You want to talk about who has “the best words”, its Obama, hands down. So in public, he said what the nation needed to hear, that a peaceful transition of power would occur and

He didn’t win fair and square, he lost the popular vote. He won because the Electoral College is an arcane and poorly-designed system that doesn’t reflect the will of the people and because Republicans have spent years making it harder and harder for minorities to vote. The truth is that the system is rigged. The

Yes. We should definitely feel bad for her. Unlike Ivanka who has entirely embraced her father’s brand of crazy, Tiffany has mostly stayed out of it. Except the RNC speech, which you know she was coerced into doing.

Its sad how accurate this is (Father is fat and stupid, mother is a former model, we’re pretty sure the youngest one is plotting to take over the world)

Slight tangent, but did we decide Bryan Singer was guilty? That story kinda just vanished when Days of Future Past came out, and I’m honestly not sure where we ended up on that.

The best part of that picture is that its at the premiere of Grown Ups

Other than the blackmailing angle, not really. The Big Sleep’s blackmail wasn’t about infidelity, it was about gambling debts and pornography. And only one person was blackmailed.

I remember, but this really did it. And the much needed fact check at the end from Candy Crowley really brought it home.

I love this moment so much. I feel like this is the moment where I knew Obama was gonna win the election. The moment where Barack Obama looked Romney straight in the eye and said, “You wanna throw down? Really? You sure? Okay, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

This was a real missed opportunity in the clickbait title game

Fair enough, sort of skimmed through the “mom philosophy” and “sissy” comments. I retract my question.

Came here to say this, thank you!

Other than the gendered language and the emphasis on “hacking” playtime, what exactly is the issue with this? He’s a parent who saw a problem with the trend towards helicopter parenting and chose to do something about it. If he didn’t seem like such a massive douche, I’m not sure what there’d be to complain about.

Edit

This was the debate turning point. Up until this moment, Donald was holding his own. He might have gotten pundits to say “He kept his composure, which is what he really needed out of this debate” and everyone would’ve nodded and agreed because that’s how low the bar has sunk. Even the abortion comments would’ve gotten

Not that I’m any authority, but this is totally shade right?

Its pretty clear she was talking about Tiffany

You know, while there is no doubt in my mind that Hillary Clinton has the utmost sympathy for these victims and is as horrified as the rest of us... Part of me believes that every morning she wakes up, checks the latest Trump news, looks up, mouths a silent “Thank you Jesus” before putting on her best pantsuit and

I feel like that’s only true in hindsight, given what we now know about him. But Cosby was a very successful and well liked comedian for years before people knew his true nature. Trump, on the other hand, has always been an annoying, unfunny blotch on humanity’s collective record.
