Eh, I feel it's rated where it should be : a very uneven, average tv show that had some great episodes, and a nice run once they introduced Seven of Nine, but ended up overexposing the Borgs to the point they ended up nothing but an easy, impotent crutch.

Between the online complaining, studio interference, internal strife between CBS & Paramount, the current tv trends, and Kurtzman producing, this show won't stand a chance.

I love the fact that Gravity Falls is kinda Scooby Doo Mystery Inc's slightly younger cousin, hitting a lot of the same beats than the Warner show, big epic season-ending apocalypse shenanigans included.

I'm still convinced this pilot was initially a 90 minutes affair, which got either edited down in post, or during shooting. Either way, the pilot was indeed rushed, somewhat messy & derivative, and Melissa Benoist needs to be careful about keeping Kara away from dorky Sue Heck territory, but it might be fun to watch,

IIRC, there was some serious studio interference on that one, during the 3 years it stayed on the shelf after being shot, and the final third of the movie was heavily edited down from the shooting script.

That tune is the Jesus Christ theme from Miklos Rozsa's Ben-Hur. Good ole Bill Conti, lifting melodies left and right…

I was thinking of Colbert's recent transition into The Late Show more than the first months of the Report, but I guess it isn't really a fair comparison to Noah, and I see your point.

Yeah, it has improved, it's still improving, and it's still somewhat awkward, but it's all very dependent on each separate show's theme/structure.

Trevor just really needs to slow down w/ his delivery (but that will probably come with time, as he eases into his new job), and he should be fine.

Anyone know if they changed anything else since the early presentation, aside from Fozzie's gf going from Margo Harshman to Riki Lindhome ?

Yeah, watching the movie, it really seems that the "handsome, fat-free alpha male gym teacher dating Alison Pill" wasn't really intended for Rainn, but for someone more along the lines of a Channing Tatum, or a James Marsden, someone like that.

Honestly, out of all the other talk show hosts out there, this Late Show w/ Colbert is what's the closest to Craig's LLS, probably because Colbert seems to be having a blast doing this extended riff on a Colbert Report/Daily Show hybrid, is willing to take some risks, and because his interviews are usually pretty

And now that entire Damon/Effie outrage is making headlines at Jezebel, which should insure that the debate will *clearly* be fair, balanced and level-headed. *sigh*

Yeah, botched that one. Fixed it, now, thanks.

Yeah, Not Cool is very… Shane Dawson. It's crass, it's dumb, it's stupid, it's overacted, and it's frustrating, cos aside from Dawson (who is a real miscast in his part), the main cast is pretty good, and when the story allows itself to go to an emotional place, it works. Until Dawson decides to punctuate such moments

Curbing the audience or kicking out troublemakers won't work. It didn't work when TNA tried to rein in the IZ (former fans from that era are still mad about it, to this day) and it won't work for NXT as long as it will be "WWE's indy". Cos that's just how most indie crowds are : really possessive about their product,

Just a reminder: If you want wrestling coverage that’s not just Monday
Night RAW to continue, please share and get the word out about these
reviews. If you don’t, well then I guess I misread a lot of comments on
the RAW reviews.

Just wait until Sunday, when he'll do the job to Cena, and then go back to NXT for the next six to eight months.

Funny thing is, I probably enjoyed that throwaway Elimination Chamber more than any WWE PPV in recent months, if not years. Predictable status quo booking aside, I mean. Probably because I had zero expectations going in.
