Oh income was part of it. Daycare by me is absolutely obscene. On the flip side, our finances are secure enough I don’t NEED to work. So I guess it is a little of both, but daycare taking out a huge chunk of monthly income (around $1500-$2000 a month, more than our mortgage) certainly made the decision easier.

Daycare is what drove me out of the workplace too, as my wife made more plus worked across the street which let us drop a car.
