Well yeah, but at the same time, he might believe he’s not the same kind of anti-vax as the anti-vaxxers, but refusing to get the vaccine is anti-vax, so...it’s more about his not wanting to be lumped in with crazies, not that he’s not actually anti-vax.

I really don’t think that’s true. “I’m not an anti-vaxer but I just have problem with THIS vaccine” is standard anti-vaxer language. Andrew Wakefield himself said exactly that.
