Have a listen to the podcast “With Friends Like These” hosted by Anna Marie Cox, the episode titled “One God, Under Trump” for a decent explanation of the mindset of this set of “Christians”. The mental gymnastics are a bit astounding...but not unprecedented. Far from it actually...terrifyingly.

I don’t know that Trump understands nuance enough to abuse power for anything but his own personal gain. It’s 99% likely it’s more of “change whatever the black guy did”.

Do a quick google search for random police stops in Ontario (especially London, Toronto and Hamilton), missing indigenous women and general treatment of indigenous people by police and government Canada-wide. We seem better, but we suck too.
